We have stayed at the Royal Kelowna several times over the past 10 years. Property age is starting to show, appliances older, jacuzzi didnt work. Our room smelled of strong cologne. No option to change room. Pot smoking and party next door and front desk said a security guard makes his rounds later, of which we didnt see. Great location, just not the 5 star resort it use to be.

Concierge was friendly and helpful, housekeeping person for our room was terrible. Poor clean up after first night and a no show/ room not made up at all after second night. Several reasons why given, none believable.

Great Stay

We had a great stay. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The large balcony had a beautiful mountain view overlooking the boardwalk with views of Okanagan Lake. The rooftop pool and hot tub were the highlight of our afternoons.

Expedia showed the listing as available when in reality the hotel was fully booked. They didn’t even inform us and we had to find out from the Hotel itself. This made us waste our entire day at Kelowna despite us being on call with Expedia for over 7 hours. The worst experience I have ever had in my life. Almost all other hotels were full and we were almost homeless. We weren’t even from British Columbia. Expedia has lost all of its credibility.

So lovely.

A beautiful setting in a flourishing city. Our apartment was spacious, comfortably furnished and had a full kitchen and laundry. The terrace was bathed in sun late afternoon. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
