Picture Perfect Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our trip to Big Island was to celebrate our mom’s life and birthday with family. The venue where we were to have the gathering was at my sisters house but due to the recent storms and the damage it caused to her property she had to cancel. Our trip was already booked and we decided to just go anyway amd make the best memories we can. I reached out to Kekela with Saltwater to ask if I can have some of the family who are here over to the VRBO to celebrate our mom and she was very caring and showed the Aloha spirit and how much family means to us. Our family gathering was absolutely amazing. Mom loved when the family came together to listen to music, talk story and just being with one another. She passed away last October and this brought the healing we all needed. Thank you for everything. We loved the place and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay. The ocean view is amazing, the accommodations and amenities are great. We will definitely book another stay again soon. Mahalo from all us🤙🏽🤙🏽

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived a little early and the cleaners were still there and were accommodating and friendly. The house was clean and a beautiful view. The neighborhood was great! Friendly neighbors walking their dogs and we felt safe. There was a great little neighborhood farm stand with fresh fruit, eggs, and other goodies. The inside of the house was nice. Some parts were a little older and needed updated but overall it was pleasant. Wish the pool was heated and there were more lights inside. Beds were comfortable and inviting.

Relaxing Stay

First impression wasn’t great as it was very warm when we walked in but once we got everything opened up it was great. The pool is fantastic and we enjoyed watching the turtles swim in the crashing waves. Also, the mattresses were fantastic. Always looking for a great night sleep on vacation!

Great stay!

We had a really great stay here! The view is even better than the pictures, we had everything we needed, and had no troubles with the check-in process. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to this island!

Loved this property

We loved this property, the views were beautiful (including watching sea turtles playing in the waves) and we used both the pool and hot tub as the weather was rainy. A good location for a day trip to the Volcano National Park.

Love Hilo Shangrila

We absolutely loved our week at Hilo Shangrila! The waterfront location with breathtaking views and watching the sunrise every morning was amazing! The home is very comfortable and nicely decorated. It is on a dead end street in a very quiet neighborhood…we never heard anything but the ocean and the frogs at night. I would absolutely stay there again!!

Perfect place to stay near Hilo and Pahoa

Can’t say enough great things about Hilo Shangrila. Amazing location, the pool was perfect and the view of waves and turtles as well as sunrise just fantastic. House was well equipped and great neighborhood also. Thanks so much. Hope to come stay again sometime.
