Wilder Kaiser mountains, North Tyrolia, Austria 

View of the main range of Wilder Kaiser mountains. They belong to the Northeastern Limestone Alps and rise up to 2.400 meters of height. You can either climb the jagged peaks or you can hike just below their white walls. The traditional hike route is called the Adlerweg (=Eagle's path) and its part in Wilder Kaiser from St. Johann to Kufstein takes an easy although distance-wise longer 3-day hike. 

The meadows slope is called the Baumgartenalm and in the view from Baumgartenkreuz 1.572 m you can see from left to right the summits of Regalpspitze (2.253 m), Ackerlspitze (2.329 m)  and Maukspitze (2.231 m).

Gruettenhuette, Wilder Kaiser mountains, Austria 

Wilder Kaiser (=Wild Emperor) mountains belong to Northern Limestone Alps and stretch between the towns Kufstein and St. Johann in Tirol region of Austria. You will find green meadows and mountain pine forrests under the dramatic white walls of the main Wilder Kaiser range with summits from 2.000 to 2.344 metres (Ellmauer Halt as the highest). There are several huts on the south side of the range and Gruettenhuette (alt. 1.620 m) is one of them. 
Wilder Kaiser is the southern range of the Kaiser Gebirge (=Emperor's mountains) and it is the most visited climbing area in Austria. There are plenty of via ferrata routes here of different difficulty ranges, both for kids or experienced amateurs.
