Discover your tropical retreat at the vintage, plantation-style Kona Islander Inn in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona. This ground-floor, Hawaiian-themed studio places you steps from dining, shopping, and tours. A sandy beach for viewing marine life and sunsets is right across the street.

The complex offers a pool, hot tub, BBQ grills, and on-site laundry. Your condo is located in the Maui building and features a Queen bed (12 inch Medium-Firm, Memory Foam Mattress), a futon sofa bed, strong AC, unlimited high-speed WiFi, a private patio, and a compact kitchenette. Please note: There is only one sink for both the kitchen and bath.

Check-In: 4 pm. If available, a $30 Early Check-in fee + State of Hawaii Tax applies for early check in requests between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Check-Out: 11 am. If available, a $30 Late Check-out fee + State of Hawaii Tax applies for late check out requests between 11:00 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Free parking is available by permit only and is first-come, first-served which can fill up quickly! Street parking is also available for overflow from the Kona Islander Inn. Escape from Alaska winter

Conveniently located at the center of the Ali'i Drive strip. Clean and well maintained property with a mix of vacationers and permanent residents. The pool is secluded from any outside traffic and noise. Parking is limited. Laundry facilities are adequate but the change machine and supplies dispenser were inoperative. The combined bathroom, shower and kitchen did not lend itself to cooking meals. The small refrigerator did not have a freezer. We ate snacks and had a restaurant meal once a day. Overall a relaxing vacation.

Lovely spot in the heart of paradise

We had a lovely time using this as our home base to explore Kona, celebrate the holidays, and soak up a slower pace. Coffee on the patio, a cozy bed after a day of exploring - perfect for what we needed!
