The beach fronting Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that affect the beach’s size and accessibility.
During the fall and winter, sand may temporarily wash away but typically returns in spring and summer. Our HOA, the County of Maui, and the State of Hawaiʻi are working diligently to restore Kahana Bay to its full potential.
When direct beach access is limited, a public beach access point is located within a 5-minute walk.
(Photos taken 1/16/23 show usable beach, but this cannot be guaranteed year-round.)
