Fantastic!

The view can't be beat! I have stayed on Maui a few times, and this is the closest to the water that I have found. So beautiful! We saw turtles and whales, from the lanai, and living room, everyday. Everything was spotless, when we arrived, and worked perfectly. The food trucks are a short walk and had a great variety. The air conditioner was much appreciated! I feel like I could live in this home.(wishful thinking) haha Seriously, I would recommend this home, in a heartbeat, and hopefully will be able to return.

Very nice

Couldn't ask for a better view. The beach is very close, but there are a lot of rocks a short ways out so when we wanted to swim we walked about 3/4 mile south. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Clean and comfortable. I slept in the king size bed and my son on the hide-a-bed, which worked fine.Initially had a little trouble getting a response from Vacasa the first time I tried, but after that all was good. One thing I would keep in mind: The only real complaints I could find online had to do with the A/C not working. Worked fine for us, and with those big west-facing windows it was running all day long and at best kept it at about 76, which was fine. But if it hadn't been working it would have been really hot. I inquired before we left to make sure it was going to be working and was told it was, and that it was just serviced. I saw some kind of a note in the condo that said A/C would be unavailable May-June-July. Seems unbelievable. I wouldn't stay there without A/C. But as I said, didn't affect us. When we left there was a sticker on the door that said the A/C was being serviced that day. So something is very odd about the A/C, and I would recommend making sure it is in service. But our stay went well and I really don't have any complaints.

Beautiful Oceanfront Condo!!!

This condo was absolutely perfect and in a great location! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The view from the balcony was incredible...we saw lots of whales breaching and spouting and we saw a big turtle. The sunsets were breathtaking too! The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was comfortable and the condo was very clean. The bonus was the access to the balcony from the living room and bedroom. Also, the on-site concierge, Carla, was very helpful and friendly. We went to Duke's Beach House for several meals, since it's a close walk and the view there is awesome. We went scuba diving, snorkeling, took a tour of the Ocean Organic Vodka Distillery (another awesome, panoramic view) and did some shopping in Whaler's Village. We also attended a luau at the Hyatt Regency, down the road. A few other restaurants we enjoyed were Japengo (at the Hyatt Regency), Sea House (at Napili Kai) and Hula Grill (in Whaler's Village). They all had fantasic views! I highly recommend this condo and I hope to go back soon!!!

Amazing stay, will book again next year

We really loved this condo; views, location, and layout. It is accurately depicted in the pictures and there were no surprises. Walkable to everything you could need: grocery store, car rental, cafes, restaurants and so much more. We will book here again without a doubt. Great spot, but Vacasa was horrible to work with

Beautiful condo with floor to ceiling views of the ocean where we frequently saw whales and turtles. The beach was very nice, but the area overall is mostly resorts, you have to pay to park in hotel garages when visiting any of the nearby beaches. Unfortunately the property management team at Vacasa put a damper on our experience. When we checked in we learned there was planned electrical work in the building and we would be without electricity, wifi and air conditioning throughout most of the next day. We booked this as a location to work remotely from, so the lack of wifi was an issue. We reached out to Vacasa for help and they were absent and dismissive. They never responded to emails, took days to respond to messages, and when they finally did respond they just said it was “out of our control and there isn’t much we could have done.” I ended up working from my rental car in a Starbucks parking lot. When the electricity came back we texted and messaged Vacasa asking about late checkout, they didn’t respond to the request for 48 hours, after we had already checked out.

Perfect location

We had a great stay at the Mahana! The location was phenomenal (best snorkeling ever right outside our door), close to many restaurants, and we could see turtle after turtle from our balcony. Highly recommended!

Oceanfront and private!

Mahana is a great resort for those looking for some peace and quiet. Mahana is right on the rim of all the fun the beach boardwalk offers. The pool is smaller but very well maintained and the reef along the resort is awesome. You can see turtles everyday come and go with the tides. We would definitely stay again.

GORGEOUS LOCATION...NO WORKING A/C!!!!

The property itself is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! We were not told at time of booking about construction, only after the fact. Were assured there would be portable AC units sufficient to cool the condo. It did not! The room was 85-83 both nights we managed to make it! In constant contact with booking firm. Not happy at all about arrangements! Entirely unacceptable for the money paid for accommodations. One person from management company did not even respond/answer call! Broken chair on balcony. Refrigrerator filters (water and ice) needed to be replaced. Were told we would be moved to another unit with AC. Given 3 choices. Told the other one had been checked and had working AC. It did not even have AC. Long story...but to make it short, we were given a complete refund - after staying 2 nights at the first unit, in an 85 degree room, moving everything to another unit that did not even have AC, then finding and booking our own reservations at another location. Not something you want to do after saving, planning, and looking forward to a relaxing, peaceful, vacation of a lifetime in Maui! First and last time to book any reservations with Vacasa. Have used VRBO many times, with success. But never again with Vacasa!

My daughter and I decided to go on a “girls” vacation and we sure picked the perfect location. The condo was perfect in every way- it was clean and included everything that we needed for the week. The location is ideal and close to everything. The ocean view is spectacular, it’s mesmerizing to just relax and take it all in. Highly recommend this beautiful rental.

The view, the view, the view!!!!❤️ What a beautiful view with so many whales, turtles and surfers🐋🐢🌊 🏄‍♂️ We loved that the bedroom had the same view and also access to the balcony. We loved this property!! It was absolutely perfect for two people. They supplied beach chairs and umbrellas which was super great! You can walk the beach in both directions or walk to restaurants via the beach or boardwalk that is conveniently located just off the parking area. Having a washer and dryer was another added bonus. We look forward to being able to stay at this property again!!!

Mahana, our favorite Maui property

Unit was well furnished and clean. Only complaint is that MB sun screen was broken in the down position. I called Vacasa upon checkin to request the screen’s repair, and it wasn’t during our 5 day stay. I had to rig a temporary solution to keep the screen up.

Wonderful Mahana Stay!

Our stay was terrific. Aside from the beauty and charm and all that Maui offers our Mahana rental was great. Clean and comfortable and well appointed. A couple of minor issues that would have been nice to knows going in would have been good though. Once we had communicated the issues, they were acknowledged and already going to be dealt with. Wouldn't hesitate to book there again! Thanks for the wonderful home for our vacation!

What A View

Great view of the ocean during the day and fantastic view of the stars at night! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the tasty restaurants and fun activities close by. Definitely would recommend!

Clean condo, excellent bed, fabulous view and location

The condo was exactly as pictured in the listing. The bathroom shower configuration was very convenient for rinsing out swimsuits and snorkel gear. Amazing sunset views, lots of whale watching using our own binoculars which we brought. Airport beach is right outside so easy beach access. Also a short walk to the supermarket, food trucks, and Duke’s.

Wonderful - stunning views, convenient

We had a wonderful stay at Mahana 618 in late December 2022. The construction was not a problem - we heard drilling on one day and there was some scaffolding up on the non-ocean side. Water pressure and water temperature in the shower were a little inconsistent but it sounds like water pressure was a problem in that whole region that week. The views from the condo are incredible and we spent a lot of time watching whales in the distance from the lanai (bring binoculars). Unit is nicely updated. We liked that parking was close and free and that there was no resort fee. We enjoyed snorkeling from the beach about 300 m to the south (just S of the Westin).

Waterfront Condo with Pool, Hot Tub, & Gorgeous Sunset Views

The unit itself has breathtaking views from the living room, kitchen and the bedroom. Kitchen has all the essentials, and there’s plenty of space to stretch out & be comfortable. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable enough. Overall I had a pleasant experience despite the construction going on which was initially a concern after reading some reviews. I tried contacting Vacasa by phone and email several times, a few days before I arrived. I am still waiting for a call back! Lol! I was told multiple times a local agent would call and they never did. I then decided to call the front desk to ask about the construction and was told by a rude front desk agent that Unit 618 was privately owned and she couldn’t help me. She kept placing me on hold and wouldn’t let me ask a simple question and practically hung up on me. I have Never experienced this type of service in the numerous times I’ve visited Maui, and I travel to the island once a year. I tried calling the property again hoping for a different person to take my call and luckily the next person was very friendly this time. When she explained that the unit is private, I told her I only wanted to know the status of the construction and not be surprised. I had to speak quickly before she hung up, to let her know Vacasa won’t call me back and is why I needed her help. When I arrived at the property, the outside had scaffolding and workers walking around. Once inside the unit, I couldn’t tell any construction was going on whatsoever!! Despite all outreach to Vacasa being ignored, the property and unit itself were beautiful and my husband and I had a great time.

Kaanapali in October

Walking distance to grocery store and a few shops and restaurants including L&L BBQ. Walking distance to a few food truckstoo. Coral reefs in front of condominiums, but 100 yards south is easy sandy beach access. Don't walk on reef you can get hurt and it damages the coral. Always a couple turtles in the surf in front of the condos.

Notice of construction was unfairly presented in the description of the rental.

The noise level of the construction was terribly loud. One could not sit on the balcony, let alone inside of the condo and carry on a conversation. 0in the past, I have been forewarned of inconveniences of construction, however, they were reasonable inconveniences. Some noise, sharing elevators with workers and supplies, but the noise level that we experienced was too much. I do have a sound video of what we experienced, just in case the Vacasa people, whose offices are in the neighborhood might want to hear. I am sure they would not have rented to friends or relatives with the bone jarring noise we we experienced.
