Stay in Comfort, Surrounded by Nature Your cozy glamping retreat "Merlot" is thoughtfully designed for a comfortable escape. Snuggle into the plush queen bed, enjoy a private bathroom with a hot shower, and make use of amenities like a microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and wine glasses, ideal for savoring local wines. While the tents can get warm during peak daylight hours in the summer, our AC units work most effectively once the sun goes down, helping create a more comfortable sleeping environment throughout the night.
Please note, it is prohibited to leave pets unattended inside the unit.
A Pet-Friendly Retreat Your furry friends are welcome! To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, pets must be leashed and not left unattended in the tent. A $50 penalty applies to undeclared pets, in addition to the standard pet fee.
Adventure Awaits Explore Pedernales Falls State Park for swimming, hiking, and horseback riding, or hike to breathtaking views at Enchanted Rock. Stroll through Johnson City and Fredericksburg, where boutique shops, galleries, and seasonal farmers’ markets showcase the charm of Hill Country. For a unique experience, visit The Preserve to see wildlife up close.
Savor Local Flavors Pair handcrafted wines with wood-fired pizza, charcuterie boards, and our famous Martins Nutz (glazed pecans) at 12 Fires Winery. In town, indulge in local favorites like 290 Locale Winery & Pizzeria and Proof and Cooper at the Lumberyard.
**Weekday wine tastings are available by reservation.**
Unwind Under the Stars End your day by the fire pit with complimentary firewood, sharing stories and stargazing in the fresh night air. Fires are permitted unless a burn ban is in effect.
Summer Heat Advisory During the summer months, temperatures and heat indexes in the area can exceed 100°F (38°C), and Heat Advisories may be issued. If you're traveling with young children, older adults, are pregnant, or have heat-sensitive medical conditions, we encourage you to consider the forecast before your stay.
Embrace Nature As this is an outdoor glamping experience, you may occasionally encounter insects or wildlife despite our regular cleaning and preventative measures.

Very nice stay
Excellent glamping accommodation, perfect for a weekend getaway in the hill country. We enjoyed the comfort of the tent and the private firepit.
You can hear the road from the tent during the day, but this is very quiet past 6pm and did not bother us during our stay.
Perfect quick getaway. 12 Fires - you did it right!

A very nice glamping experience
This was a very short notice reservation and the owner and his staff welcomed us and got us set up in our tent! The place is beautiful…the bed was super comfy, bathroom was clean and had very nice shower, the kitchen area had coffee and waters for us and the porch area had couches and chairs to relax in. A few steps away from the tent, we had our own private fireplace. Not only was the tent site nice, they have a tasting room on the property with some delicious wines! This was the perfect stay and cannot wait to go back!

The Relaxing Weekend We Were Hoping For
We’re not campers and didn’t really know what glamping was all about until we walked into our cabin. A microwave, frig, indoor bathroom, and one of the most comfy beds we’ve slept in!! The first night we enjoyed wine and pizza on the patio at the onsite winery and then sat out under the stars on the front deck of our cabin. After a road trip around the area, we ended our second night with wine and a charcuterie try at the winery and again a night under the stars. We were looking forward to a quiet, tmrekaxing weekend and it’s exactly what we got. Great experience!!!
We stayed in tent 5, which had full amenities! It was so convenient as our favorite winery, 12 Fires, was just a few steps away! 😊 Our dog was with us for the entire duration of the trip and he loved enjoying the porch and outdoors with us. These tents are great for a weekend getaway!

Nice but Noisy
The accommodations were well furnished for necessities. The Queen bed was comfortable but a little difficult to get out of if you are the one against the wall. Make sure to bring noise cancelling headphones. They do furnish disposable foam earplugs but the road noise is still present. This would be a 5 Star rating without the noise factor.
