Promise Land on the Bayou!

Relax and make memories with the whole family on Big Cypress bayou. Spend your time on the water or enjoying historic Jefferson just minutes away. The home offers two bedrooms one with the king size bed in the bunk room has a full size bed and a set of twin size bunk beds both have attached full bathrooms with walk-in closets. There's a full size kitchen fully stocked that is open to a large living room with views of the water. Please note there are no TVs in the home and cell phone service can be spotty as we are outside of town.
Walk right out the door and you're on the bayou. Relax and get away from it all in a rocking chair on one of the two porches, enjoy the view from the covered deck above the boathouse, or past your time fishing from the lower level while the kids play in the large yard. Only 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by boat to everything Jefferson has to offer or in 45 minutes you can be on caddo lake after a day on the lake you can dock at one the restaurants along the way. There is a small boat ramp about a mile from the cabin or a large one 30 minutes down the river in Karnack.

Spring Break in Jefferson and at Caddo Lake
The property was more than adequate for our stay. Being able to sit so near the bayou was also a plus. There were a few things that would have made the stay even better. These included (1) directions on turning the heat on at night; (2) no wifi on the property was almost a non-starter for me; (3) no hair dryer in either bathroom was almost a non-starter for the women; and nonstick cookware is a small investment that would make for happier campers.

Clean and well stocked property, loved the stay. Note that there's no Wi-Fi or television on the property but that's a good thing, as you go to enjoy the location.

My favorite part of this property was the deck and view! This was the perfect weekend to go with all the changing colors of the leaves. It was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the fact that there were no TVs and how quiet the area was. It was so very relaxing. Everything you need is there! Just pack your things and go! You won’t be disappointed!!

Truly great stay!
This was such a great place to stay! The check-in was a breeze and the house was great. There are rockers on the back covered porch, another covered area over the water, and chairs by the bayou where we could catch an afternoon breeze. The living room was large, the beds comfortable, and amenities provided. A few additional coffee cups (more than 2) would be nice, but that’s a minor detail. There were 5 of us here and it was great for all of us. Thank you!
