We Came All The Way From VA - Poor Communication

I am not even sure where to begin. This is actually an apartment complex and not a condo or privately owned. We drove from VA to only find out that our reservation was supposed to be canceled earlier that day. I sent several messages before we arrived and received no response. The rental office did not know the host or anything about our reservation. I finally got a hold of the host, and she was supposed to send someone out to let us into the rental.... ten minutes later, we got a cancellation and a full refund (thank God!). Apparently, the previous renters left bed bugs according to a text that I received after I got in contact with the host who never called me back. Only texted through her "assistant". I thought I was being scammed when I first learned it was an apartment complex and the host did not respond after a few messages. The outside was amazing and the pics online the same, but we did not get a chance to see the inside. Good luck if you decide to book here. I wish you the best and hope it is not a scam!
