Small hotel very well located in Takim. The bathroom was very tiny but had everything needed. Personel was very nice although some workers only spoke Turkish. Everything that wasn't as great ad expected was surpased by the great location

The employees were all amazing. I went to them with many questions, and all were answered. They provided me with great recommendations for food. I was always greeted with a smile every time I saw them. Great stay overall!

Front desk staff are great as are the breakfast staff. The small refrigerator didn’t work in either room we looked at. Nice that the large fridge in their kitchen was offered but it’s 5 floors away. Great location! Loud club music nearby made it very difficult to sleep. Not their fault but just be aware.

We stayed for one night as part of our transit flight. The staff specially receptionist was super helpful with check-in and out and helped us with booking for airport transfer with much better rate and a fixed price. Overall very clean and well maintained. Nice variety and options for breakfast and we quite liked the basement dining area that has view and access to the street. Access to the lobby is only via few stairs but staff help the guests with their luggage.

My stay at this hotel was by far the worst experience of my life. The hotel was filthy and located in one of the worst parts of Istiklal, right next to a loud club. Even at 4-5 a.m., the noise was so loud it felt like I was inside the club. To make matters worse, the receptionist didn’t speak English, making communication extremely difficult. One night, I had two guests, and we went to the lobby. I asked the receptionist if we could get two teas, and he brought us tea bags without mentioning that there would be a charge. The next day, I met with some other friends in the lobby and asked for tea again. To my shock, the receptionist told my guests that he wanted to add the payment for that tea to the previous night’s bill! I was horrified—not because they wanted to charge me, but because of how rude and unprofessional it was to say that in front of my guests. When I confronted him, I pointed out that he hadn't mentioned any charge the first night, and now he was bringing it up in front of my guests, making the situation extremely awkward. In the end, he charged me 200 Turkish lira, with each tea costing 20 lira plus a service fee. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. It was an absolutely terrible experience, and if I could give it 0 stars, I would.

The location is great if you plan to be near Taksim Square and Istiklal Caddesi. Close to restaurants, shopping, and metro. Hotel is nice. Room was nice and clean. Some music from near by clubs can be heard during the night but nothing unbrlearable. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping staff was pleasant and did a great job replenishing items. As for front desk Suleiman and Mustafa were great and not to mention Ibrahim. They are a little overworked but always a smile and will help you however they can. Stayed as family had a great experience. The area around the hotel is busy and crowded but hey this is Taksim. Recommend this place!

AVOID STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!!! This was my worst hotel experience ever! It’s right next to all the night clubs that stay open until 6-7am in the morning. I was traveling with my mom and we couldn’t sleep at all. While talking to the management I realized they were completely unprofessional and couldn’t handle the customer issue very well. They refused switching me and my mom (who is 65 years old) to more quite room at no extra cost. Instead, I had to pay extra out of my pocket to have the room that’s more quite where at least we could have good sleep. The room which I payed extra for had the same amount of noise coming from the outside night club music. Moreover, the hotel is located in a shady area, which I think not very safe! Breakfast was very poor and not fresh! Towels were dirty and I had ask to change them over and over! I could have complained more about cleanliness to the management but I just gave up after having terrible customer service! Eventually we ended up moving out from this hotel to another one in Sultanahmet which was cheaper and way better quality than Luxir. I am still surprised how this hotel have good reviews in Expedia! Biggest disappointment!!!

Really nice place, close to the city center l, lovely reception friendly all around. Could do with better breakfast. During my last night I wanted to take a shower at 4am but the water was not running in the toilet, but later returned in the morning. Over all it was a good experience
