A decent stay with incredibly nice staff as well as a great location. The tv wasn’t the greatest and some of the rooms are slightly old fashioned, however, the newer ones which we luckily got moved to are generally nice.

Our stay at Ergüvan Hotel was excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable yet quality stay in the heart of Istanbul. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating - we had our luggage carried up to our room, and we got to choose between a modern hotel room, or a more traditional, Ottoman style room. We went with the Ottoman style room for the atmosphere, and we were not disappointed with our choice. Our room was stylishly furnished and large, and the view of the hippodrome from our window certainly added to the atmosphere. There are plenty of restaurants and amenities around the location, and the hotel is located just down the hill from the obelisks located behind the Sultanahmet Mosque (perfect, assuming you don't mind a 3-5 minute walk up a rather steep hill to get there). Perfect location. Friendly staff

Best location for walking to main sites. Bit noisy with cars beeping in the narrow roads. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is not modern but is in keeping with surrounding homes etc. clean and perfectly suitable. Breakfast was basic but homely.

Good hotel in great location and for a decent price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, this is not a 4 star hotel. This is definitely closer to 3 stars, but i can't complain too much because we paid a 3 star hotel price. We did pay extra for a "sea view" but most of it was obstructed by other buildings. Better sea view on the roof where you eat breakfast.
