Delayed check in

This stay would have been fine had they not delayed my check in until 1630pm when their guarantee was supposed to be 1500. They then blamed it on my cell service around the island but WhatsApp informs you of the time it is sent regardless of the time received. They were unfriendly; unhelpful and unapologetic. I would not recommend this stay as there are better places for the same price. Other considerations- it was dusty in the room, all cement so nothing felt clean. They did have good AC, but not a great shower. Only had shampoo and no conditioner or soap.

The concept is ok, keeps the property as clean as possible, but the area was full of dust. It would be a good idea to have access to cleaning supplies like a mop, broom, etc.

We really enjoyed our stay at Madre. Beautiful rooms with comfortable Beds, a great shower and a nice kitchen. A/C works great. We had a small dog with us and appreciated having an outdoor shower to clean all the sand off of her and for that matter ourselves before entering our room. We would definitely stay again upon return to Holbox.

El lugar y las habitaciones son divinas, la decoración, el estilo, tamaño. Si bien entiendo que el concepto no es de un hotel, creo que hay cosas que pueden ayudar a mejorar la experiencia: poner 4 toallas en lugar de 4, por el simple hecho que tienen una alberca (divina), un par de botellas con agua a la llegada en la habitación, jabón de cuerpo en la regadera y no solo shampoo y un servicio mínimo de limpieza diario en las habitaciones (sacar la basura, barrer) Holbox es hermoso y está siendo “the place to go” con eso llegará mas competencia y creo que Madre puede ser un lugar mas acogedor y al que sin duda regresaría con estos pequeños cambios

This place is beautiful, but for the price, we could have had some water for the coffee. 're location is great and it's cozy. I did no had enough information upon my arrival in how to enter to the place and I was stressed about it since our arrival was late. Communication isn't their best skill.
