Our room smelled like auto exhaust. I notified the front desk and we left for dinner so they could fix it. When I came back to the room after dinner I smelled the same odor. Nothing had changed. It was making my family nauseous and we could not stay there. I asked the front desk to provide us a different room but they said they were full. I asked for a refund since we could not stay in that room. Since I got the room (and paid for it) through Expedia, I was told I had to go thru Expedia for a refund. This problem is on the hotel. This problem left my family scrambling to find a different place to stay late at night. I am furious at this outcome and do not plan to stay at another Holiday Inn.

One night stay

After a week in a non air conditioned cabin we stopped here on the way home. We swam in the pool, had a few drinks in the bar, ate dinner and relaxed in the highly air conditioned room for the evening. It was exactly what we wanted.

No Fire Sprinkler System

I was shocked to discover that this hotel---altho apparently renovated recently, is not provided with a fire sproinkler system I would NEVER have booked this hotel had I known that. A fire in a hotel is realy scary and dangerous I cant beleive that the hotel was not retrofitted to to include this essential life safety sprinkler system when it was renovated. Shame on local fire authorities for NOT requiring a sprinkler system as part of the renovation

We have stayed twice at this hotel. Both times was fantastic. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the on site restaurant. The table had a fantastic view of the back garden and grounds. The pool was very refreshing and large. Our room on the fifth floor was excellent. The room was Comfortable, updated and super clean.
