Self-parking used to be free, but after the change in ownership, they quietly started charging $25. It’s not like this is a luxury resort—it’s just a standard parking lot in front of the hotel. Charging guests $25 for this feels like a hidden increase in the room rate. I do not recommend this place given the price."

The front desk girl as we were checking out on Sunday was so rude to my mom, it has really upset us. We have stayed here many times and usually the regular staff are wonderful. She told my mom ‘she didn’t like her attitude, so wasn’t going to do anything to help her’ We had reported two dogs who had been left in the car in the cold desert night overnight in the hotel parking lot. She said she wouldn’t do anything and now wouldn’t because my mom challenged her. We were upset about the situation and she plain refused to help. We were treated like the guilty party and we were simply trying to help the helpless animals abandoned. We are very upset at how we were treated by the hotel as regulars

Before I talk about the issues I had with the room, let’s talk about the $25 a day for parking that they charge but don’t tell you until you check out. When I checked in they asked for a card on file for incidentals, never once mentioning parking. When we checked out the lady told us it was $25 a day to park on the premises. What!! I told her no one ever said that to us and it isn’t anywhere posted on their website. She didn’t care, just told me I would be charged and sent me on my way. Now let’s talk about the first room they put me in on the first floor and the patio door was broken off the track, wouldn’t close. When I told the lady at the front desk she was like oh well why didn’t anyone else complain about it? Like really? The next room they put us in on the 3rd floor had ants everywhere, on the table and all over the balcony doors. We ended up checking out after one night rather than staying the two nights. What a disappointment, I booked this because I’m a huge Lucy fan and that was about the only nice thing, all the pictures of her everywhere. Whoever is running this place now should be ashamed!
