Front door had a missing large pane of glass, leaving jagged shards of glass around a 2'x 5' opening at front door. Someone had previously removed most of the smoke detectors from the ceilings throughout, even main floor with Kitchen and Living room were missing smoke detectors. The 3 smoke detectors that were still there in bedrooms were chirping, host didn't fix first day and just told us to remove them from the ceiling. So we were stuck the first night without a single working smoke detector in this 3 floor home. We checked out early next day requesting to cancel the rest of our stay, but host refused to refund us for the days we cancelled due to safety concerns. The safety of my family is my highest priority and waiting around to give a host 48 hours to fix a safety issue shouldn't be my responsibility when the host should have addressed this before guests arrive. Beware this home is located in a very sketchy neighborhood.
