Hotel itself was great!! There was a weird Rumbling (maybe the elevator?) you could hear in the room and made it a little difficult to sleep.

Sneak charges

The room smelled musty so I light a candle. I was charged a $265.00 smoking fee for having a CANDLE in the room! Completely unacceptable!!!! The manager Claudia (who barely looked at me during check in) said the housekeeping supervisor had evidence of smoking in the room. I asked them to send me the pictures...it's been hours, no pictures!!! I have contacted my bank to dispute. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

Clean and comfortable. Quick/easy check-in. Bed very comfortable, including pillows. Kind of weird that the bathroom door is barn style and didn’t actually close all the way. Pool hours were limited so we couldn’t take our kids swimming in the morning so that was a bummer, but overall, highly recommend for travelers.

Possibly might stay again.

The positives: Fantastic check in. The lady at the front desk was so nice! The property seemed very well taken care of. The negatives: The elevator was not working when I arrived. It was being worked on, so I had to take the stairs to get my things to my room. After the elevator was fixed, it was extremely shaky when going up or down in it. It didn't feel too safe. Usually a hair dryer is provided in hotel rooms, there was not one here. Also, the pillows are so thin! They definitely need to have at least a few firm pillows in the room.

The property was clean and staff was very nice! The breakfast tasted good and the lady there was very sweet. I recommend asking not to get room 214. While there isn’t much of a view outside the hotel to begin with but there is absolutely no view from this room. You only see the back of the Hampton sign. Another down side is that it is directly above the main exit doors and you hear them opening and closing all the time! Another thing that might look great but is not functional if you want privacy is the barn door for the bathroom.
