Thank you for choosing The Lodge at Jaguar Reef.

This property had it all. Friendly, helpful staff. Hammocks outside my room and on the beach. As guests were were made to feel welcome. They provided kayaks and paddleboards. And the dock had a ropeswing and decks to jump into the water, as well as daybeds that looked down with lights in the water so I could see the schools of fish swimming. It was very nice.

Comfortable Room Very Friendly staff

We were traveling with three adults and one child. We had the two bedroom partial Beach View Family Suite. The pool was right outside of our front door and you could see the ocean from our room. The room was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time using the complementary paddle boards and kayaks. Kaptain Larry and Dennis the Menace oversee the beach area. They are very friendly and fun. They are more than helpful and really add to you feeling at home.

Very nice hotel, staffs knows me by since day one, hotel's food is delicious but pricey. We ate out at nearby restaurants, walking distance from the hotel

Idyllic hotel/lodge

Pros: Cleanliness, structure/design of the property, proximity to the beach and to the village, friendly staff, unpretentious manners.
Cons: Some of the girls at the adventure office could be friendlier.
Location: Perfect location, just 1 mile from the village so you get the option of hanging out at the resort or going to explore the village whenever you please.
We only stayed at Jaguar for 3 days, but we absolutely loved everything there. First of all, the property looks beautiful! The little cabanas are so cute and comfy and spread out nicely that you feel you're in a tiny local village (in a good way). The several piers going into the water are like from a movie scene. Everything is very clean and well taken care of and manicured, from the rooms to the yards, to the flowers and the sand. You'll see the employees gathering the seaweed from the beach at sunset everyday. The staff is super super friendly and genuinely so. We loved to interact with everyone working there and ask questions about how life in Belize is. Very friendly. Denis, the guy overseeing the beach there, just made our day every day with his good disposition, smile, friendliness, willingness to help and make suggestions. We definitely made a friend in Hopkins in him. We also took 2 guided tours with the adventure office there and were very pleased with the experience. I went snorkeling for the first time ever with the Jaguar team there and I had a blast. Being not too at ease in the water, the guide we had - Denton, made me feel safe and I was able to fully enjoy the experience. The hotel has bikes for you to take so definitely take advantage of that and ride to the actual Hopkins village to explore and have lunch/dinner/drinks. Such an amazing experience!

Fantastic place to stay!!

Pros: The lodge staff were most friendly and helpful.
Location: The location is a great starting point to visit Placencia and Punta Gorda.
On this trip to Belize my fiancé and I decided to see the country. We stayed in Belize City, Corozal, Burrell Boom, and in Hopkins at Jaguar Reef Lodge & Spa. The Jaguar Reef Lodge was by far the best place we stayed at. From watching the sun rise in the early morning to a nightly dip in the pool, I highly recommend this to anyone.

Great Vacations

Pros: Staff, starting for the guess relations Manager Marian, waiters,, bartenders, even cleaning and maintenance staff are so polite and welcoming
Cons: We love it all
Location: They have excursions like visiting Mayan ruis, Cave tubing, waterfall visit, snorkling, fishing, scooba diving, they also offer free of charge kayak.
Went there with my husband, we were very tired needed to relax. Very welcoming, romantic place, lots of activities. We got more than we asked for. Staff make you feel like you are home, they will go their way out to make you confortable. We feel we want to go back right away , and we will very soon, but this time with our family. We want them to experience this jewel in the caribean. We went snorkling, fishing, and they cooked our catch, it was delicious. And youi got to have this fried Jacks, a kind of Belizian bread, not greasy at all. Love everithihng here, beautifull, relaxing place. Sara Roberts

Low key but with all the amenities for a great vacation

Pros: Free Internet
I went there with my son to celebrate his spring break. The manager made it a point to know our names and took the time to show us to our nicely appointed room which had its own hot tub. There was free kayaking, nice pools, clean and well kept beach. Also, due to the small size of the resort, it wasn't crowded and you got to know the other guests a bit. Pretty quiet overall.

We would stay here again!

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, uncrowded
We wanted somewhere unique and uncrowded to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. After a long search, we found this hotel and all the pictures and reviews said it was what we were looking for. Thatched roofed cabanas, right on an unspoiled beach, hammocks, palm trees... it was all that and more. We recommend cabana 13 or 14 for the ocean view. Ashley welcomed us with a complimentary drink and showed us to our room and all the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay there special - even an anniversary card. If you want to take the road less travelled for your vacation, this is it! You need to be prepared for a flight on a single engine Cessna from Belize City to Dandriga, then a 40 minute taxi ride, the last 10 miles of which are bumpy dirt roads. You might wonder what kind of hotel can possibly be at the end of such a road... It is clean, comfortable and has that fairy tale atmosphere of an old movie. Chef Cesare cooks some great meals with superb presentations. King or Rick will serve you coconut rum (fresh cocunuts!) and quench your curiousity about Belize's colorful history. Borrow the hotel's bikes and ride 10 minutes into the village of Hopkins nearby where Iris serves breakfast all day and delicious lunches. Chef Rob is a favorite in the evenings - he serves great lobster! Barracuda's is just a couple hundred yards from the hotel and they also have a great menu! We went in October and the ocean was calm and clear, the breeze gentle and the temperature perfect. Take insect repellant for the invisible sand flies on the beach on calm days. We did the snorkelling trip with Nick out to the barrier reef and it was amazing. All in all, one of the most relaxing and unusual vacations we have had.
