Francois’ houses in Honfleur – Les Maisons De François à Honfleur LMDFH – are two first-class houses nestled at the heart of Honfleur. I have renovated, furnished, and decorated LMDFH with the greatest care to welcome you.

I personally very often use each of the LMDFH, and I take pleasure to welcome friends and family.

The Grey House is the largest LMDFH : located in the heart of Honfleur, just 5 minutes walk from the old harbour “le vieux bassin”, our holiday cottage can host up to 6 guests comfortably.

You will enjoy the dedicated Home Cinema room with its giant screen, the large kitchen opening onto the terrace and the garden, and the cosy sitting room with its log fireplace.

On your arrival, you can park on the private space reserved for you close to the house – a privilege in the historic district.

A minimarket is available down the street. And you are within 5 minutes walk of Honfleur restaurants, bars, art galleries, museums, shops, etc…

The house is on 3 floors :
- Ground floor : Garden, terrace, large kitchen fully equipped where you can cook and eat together. You can also eat or relax outside.
- First floor : the lounge area with the log fireplace, a small office, a bathroom with toilets, and a large bedroom with a double bed.
- Second floor : dedicated Home Cinema room that is also often used as a playroom by children, one bedroom with a double bed, and another bedroom with two beds (twin).

This is a connected house, equipped with the latest technology in Smart Home.
If you like technology, you will enjoy living the connected experience.
If you are not too much into high tech, just ignore this feature.

The parking space is located in a modern building 150 metres away from the house. The parking space is 2,45m wide and 7,80m long. Height is limited to 1,98 meters. There are no additional charges for using this space.

Stairs information: the Grey House is a house on 3 floors. There are therefore 2 staircases, steep and narrow as is often the case in Honfleur's houses. If one of the travelers has difficulty climbing a flight of stairs, we invite you to book a single-storey cottage.

Lovely property in great area

Really nice property with well stocked kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer). Lots of info on Honfleur at the property and within walking distance of town/beach/parks. Really recommend.

Amazing house and wonderful owner!

This was such an amazing house and stay! The place is spotless and so organized! The kitchen and appliances are top rate and new, making it so easy to keep up with laundry and dishes (family of 5!). The cinema was awesome and definitely a kid favorite. And the owner was so nice and easy to work with. Definite 5+*s!!

Good location with parking

Well positioned with a short 3 minute walk to the shops and the parking space, which was greatly appreciated with a motorbike out of the sun. My husband loved the huge cinema room and the many films available to use and the options for other programs to use on the TV. The house was on three floors with one bathroom and a lovely cool breeze flowed through the house to keep it cool. There was a fan in one room if you needed it. It was a very quiet and peaceful area. The bedroom overlooked next door's garden, which had many wonderful roses. The house is on a fairly steep hill but we found if you walked up from town by taking the road inland, you then only had one small hill rather than two from the harbourside. There are so many restaurants in Honfleur, we didn't use the kitchen much other than for making baguette and cheese. The Casino supermarket was close and well stocked though. The owner was very quick to respond to questions before our stay and the guide books for using the house were very comprehensive.

A great stay at The Grey House

We enjoyed an excellent week at The Grey House. The house is really well situated within walking distance of all of Honfleur's restaurants, bars and shops. The private parking space nearby was an added bonus too. The house was clean, well equipped and had plenty of space for 6 of us. Francois' communication from start to finish was superb; he was a very attentive host. One minor issue was dealt with immediately which was fantastic! We appreciated the lists of recommended shops and restaurants too. Merci beaucoup-nous avons passe un tres bon sejour!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grey House. Location is great within short walking distance to everything. Francois made sure we were well checked in, and responded within seconds to a question we had. The house was very clean and had more than we could possibly need. Very nice house in great location with great facilities

Really enjoyed our stay in the Grey House and especially the Sonos sound system in every room and the brilliant cinema set up in the loft. Francois the owner sent through excellent information about Honfleur prior to our visit and sent us both a welcome email on arrival and a thank you email on departure. The other Francois who met us at the property was also excellent, being there to meet us on our arrival as arranged and show us around the whole house and all it’s great facilities. He also met us on the final morning again as previously arranged to see us off and collect the keys. There is a mini tablet on each floor that controls heating, lights and the Sonos sound system on each floor as well as the cinema set up. We really enjoyed our 4 days and would definitely recommend this property if visiting Honfleur.

A stunning property in a fantastic location!

From the moment we arrived, this fabulous property became a very comfortable, cosy and extremely well equipped home from home! Our first stay in Normandy with our two excited greyhounds exceeded our expectations, and although the weather was mixed we filled the week exploring the coast both North and South and spent a memorable day in Rouen mid week. It was a joy to return to your superb house in the evening Francois, and the tech that is an integral part of the property made the experience even more enjoyable. To celebrate my birthday this location had everything - the house is close enough to the harbour to walk to the bars and restaurants, and we took advantage of this taking our two dogs with us to the delight of many Honfleurians. We were ALL welcomed into bars and shops and the dogs received treats galore!! Also worth mentioning that although tight to park the private parking space for the property was a real bonus and made loading and unloading a dream (those with children or dogs will appreciate this!!) A final thank you to Francois and Laurence (who welcomed us to the property) for helping to create a very memorable birthday celebration) - would highly recommend this property to those who want a centrally located, clean, superbly well equipped place to stay.The house a a clever mix of the traditional and ultra modern and we hope to return soon!! Wonderfully relaxing .

We have just spent a very relaxing week in The Grey House. We were warmly welcomed by Laurence ,with the keys . Nothing was too much bother and she made it perfectly clear that she was available if needed. The property is an experience. Pick up a Samsung tablet and control the house! Music throughout. A very well appointed kitchen and an amazing cinema room. Beautifully designed with all shades of grey lending a tranquility to each room. A very peaceful space. We were lucky to have such good weather and were able to enjoy the pretty little garden. With parking near by, a Patisserie at the corner of the street and a 5 minute walk into the centre of Honfleur, this is perfectly practical in every way. We will certainly be back.

A wonderful week in Honfleur

The Grey House is a fantastic place to stay comfortable, well equipped and in a great location for access to the beautiful town of Honfleur with its historic buildings, great restaurants and friendly ambiance. The technology in the house is amazing choosing the music to listen to while you shower or cook or relax in the lounge is great but the cinema room is a fantastic experience whether you take DVDs or use your own technology and link to google chrome. Be aware some of the video apps like TalkTalk tv, Amazon Prime Wuaki are not accessible outside the UK so best download your favourites before you go. The free parking is a real bonus but the access archway is a little narrow and best approached uphill. However, we had a brilliant week and would thoroughly recommend the Grey House. We certainly intend to return. Thank you Francois for sharing your fabulous home.

Beautiful house

We were very lucky to stay for 3 weeks at The Grey House. The house is beautiful and has been renovated to a high standard but still in keeping with the style of the house. The music system is wonderful and it was lovely having music throughout the house. The cinema screen is amazing and my husband loved watching the football on it. (Euro 2016 was on during our stay). The house is a real home from home and there is everything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Francois was excellent and was very easy to contact. A nice touch was that he texted us when we arrived to make sure everything was OK. Honfleur is a beautiful place and the house is only a 5 minute walk from the harbour. The Harbour looks exactly as it does on any photos you see. The restaurants are lovely and there are plenty of shops and a couple of supermarkets. The service was excellent wherever we went and everywhere was spotless. We also took our Staffordshire Bull Terrior. Everywhere was very dog friendly and we had no problems at all. Wherever we went she was made a fuss of and they always brought her some water without us even asking. As we had travelled with our car, we travelled around and found the roads excellent and it was very easy to go for days out to see other parts of Normandy. Overall I 100% recommend anyone to stay at The Grey House. The house and the area are both fantastic and you won't be disappointed.

Our family of 5 stayed here in extreme comfort. Our kids loved the home cinema, collection of TinTin, and the boulangerie just down the street. I loved the boucherie arond the corner as well. We had a great meal out and enjoyed walking around this beautiful town as well as excersions to Etretat, the D-day beaches, and Rouen. The place is exactly as advertised! Thanks François.

Aangenaam huisje met alles aanwezig. Wel spijtig als je voor 5 dagen gaat maar 1 handdoek pp aanwezig. Belangrijk is ook dat het huisje op een helling ligt.Dus is het eventjes klimmen.

Ein Haus voller Überraschungen

Typisches Altstadthaus, geschmackvoll renoviert und eingerichtet. Uns hat im Speziellen die gut ausgestattete Küche mit dem Innenhof, wo in Ruhe gegessen und gelesen werden kann, gefallen. Die Schlafzimmer sind eher eng, hat uns persönlich jedoch nicht gestört, da es z.B. den sehr grosszügigen TV-Raum gibt. Der Abstellplatz fürs Auto ist in kurzer Gehdistanz, hier in den engen Gassen keine Selbstverständlichkeit, sowas zur Verfügung zu haben.

Maison de ville à proximité du centre d'Honfleur

Maison de ville moderne sur 3 niveaux (attention les escaliers sont assez raides). Nous y avons passé un week end agréable en janvier. Le centre d'Honfleur est à 5/6 minutes à pied. On a apprécié la cheminée, la cuisine fonctionnelle et le home cinema au dernier étage.
