Staff were very friendly and willing to help. The room was spacious for four people and the facilities were clean and great to use. The location is fantastic a great central point from which to explore Hobart.

Christmas break with my wife…hotel was quite nice and comfortable during our stay. Layout of the room is a little dated and would prefer a proper shower rather than a combo. Outside of that it was great. Location is central and they even put a Christmas card under our door late on Christmas Eve.

I stayed 8 nights at the Grand Chancellor hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and responded quickly to requests. We stayed around Christmas time and received Christmas Card and gifts for the children. Such a nice personal touch for a festive time away from home. Location is excellent, walking distance to museums, ferries and pick up for day tours. The Tasman Restaurant served excellent food. We dined there for numerous dinners and the complex flavours were well designed and delivered, hat off to the chef.
