Well situated within walking distance of most local attractions, the hotel was very clean and well kept but the bed was rock hard. It can be quite noisy at night with neighbours banging doors and listening to TV late, but you can get that at any hotel. The breakfast was good, the choice was about expected for the region, with some western-ish food available too. All in all a pleasant enough stay.

Great friendly service and staff. The morning buffet was delicious and had friendly staff and also the clerk at the front desk and door man Will was friendly and a great help with our stay. The look is a little older style, but the staff was just amazing :)

After having spent 3 nights in a place organise by the tour I was on, I was very VERY excited for the nice hotel I'd booked. They were very welcoming and opened the doors for us, and as we were early, we left our bags to do some exploring before our check in time. The beds were a little hard, but a bit better than most I'd been sleeping on across South East Asia. The room was fairly spacious (twin as I was travelling with my bestie). There was an odd smell down the hallway, and in our room. We got accustomed to it, and noticed that some of the taxis we took also had the same smell. Not sure if it was a specific incense or something. It was a little off putting. The interior was dark and a bit old, but the room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We also had access to the mini bar for free which was great as it was so hot outside. The massage parlor was my favourite experience! It was the best massage I've ever had! Highly reccommend. The tipping confused us. They had a base price, then the final price with a tip, but then they seemed to expect more tip even though it was included. As I'm from Australia and we don't have a tipping culture, we were confused as to why we were being asked for extra. We did give a little bit as it was an awesome massage, but we have no idea if it was an appropriate amount. The breakfast buffet was great, and had enough options for everyone. Overall, a good stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel itself was pleasant enough for the price. Good walking distance to attractions in the city. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable beds. Massage was good value in the spa. Unfortunately other guests in our floor were extremely noisy late at night and early in the morning. Not the hotels fault just unfortunate!

I booked this hotel for 4 nights primarily based on the location as it is within walking distance to the main tourists hotspots. The staff are very prompt and efficient when it came to check in and dealing with any queries we had and I appreciate that. However, the hotel facilities and decor is very outdated (which I was aware of when I read other reviews at the time of booking), but I was not expecting to see cockroaches in the bathroom (scurrying over the toilet and sink), and I was extremely shocked to come back after a day out to cockroaches climbing over my shoes. Completely shocked by this, we informed the staff and a member of staff came up with some repellent spray... Fortunately I was able to speak the language and asked for a different room which they accommodated for. Safe to say the remaining nights I did not come across any more roaches but it did put me on edge. I would have rated the hotel lower because of this incident but that staff service had pulled the rating up. Would I stay here again? Because of the incident I came across, I would not.

The hotel is not soundproof at all. The noise of the traffic and constant beeping along with the noises coming from the hallway and surrounding rooms kept us awake a lot of the time. It’s also a bit old and outdated. The food in the buffet was cold a lot of the time and not a lot of options for westerners who might feel like something closer to home every now and then. Massages were ok. I didn’t like it but my husband and other family I was travelling with liked it. The spa looked really dirty and uninviting so we gave it a miss. I wouldn’t call the “gym” a gym. It was 4 pieces of cardio equipment just lined up next to each other in a really cramped space. The bed was spacious, a little bit hard but relatively comfortable and the rooms are a decent size. It was hard to shower in our room though as the attachment for the shower head did not tilt or swivel so if you didn’t hold it in your hand you would just get the water spray constantly in your face. The doorbells to the rooms often just go off without anyone actually ringing them. This happened mostly in my in laws room which was right next to ours. Randomly their doorbell would just ring several times throughout the day and night but no one was ever at the door. This was a bit creepy. I wasn’t able to sit at the bar downstairs and have a drink unfortunately as it was a free for all smoking area, which I’m not a fan of. The smell would drive me crazy. All staff were very friendly and super helpful which was a plus!
