Room was dirty Trash found around bed and behind night stand. Chevk in coukdnt speak English. Plus zero personality. Handicap shower sucked. The shower curtain is to short especially with a transfer bench instead of shiwer chair. I basically had water all over the bathroom floor. I have a prosthetic leg and it made for a dangerous situation. Parking lot is to tight for all of the atvs and trucks/trailers.

Since we were staying there for 6 nights we loved the size of our rooms and kitchenette area. The firm beds and black out curtains were perfect. The mini fridge froze all of my foods which resulted in $40+ worth of veggies and groceries getting ruined and thrown away. There was no dial to turn down the fridge and that was very frustrating. We also picked this place because it had great reviews for breakfast- I would not rave about breakfast. It was the same thing every morning. Biscuits and gravy and then either sausage Pattie or sausage links and some sort of egg. Please change it up. Give us a variety- French toast sticks, bacon, pancakes…something. The parking lot was nice and big and the pool area was very nice and clean and warm water.

Clerk was very friendly! Room was clean but very dark. Different bulbs would take care of that I’m sure. Bed was a little firm but all in all the stay was pleasant. Breakfast was awesome!!!

The hotel may be a little bit old but is very well taken care of. I enjoyed everything about it. Very charming. Great character. Very comfortable. The the one breakfast that we had was delicious. We'll have another one tomorrow. Like other says the continental breakfast that they switch out and change things all in all would definitely come back Plus the jacuzzi after a long drive. Feels very good to sit there for like 15 minutes

The only thing lacking was outside of the property. The weeds were growing every where and the outside pool area was not very clean. The room was fantastic and the breakfast was good with options.

The air conditioner in the room ran nonstop and made the room smell very musty, and the room was really small with a tiny bathroom vanity. There were stains on the tub mat and floor mat towel. The ice machine was broken in the main building and there seemed to be no urgency to fix it and there was only one in the whole building, so you had to go across the parking lot to another building to get ice if you wanted it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, unfortunately. It was more expensive than a Ramada in Keystone (that’s closer to Mt Rushmore), that looked much nicer. Hill City was a nice play to stay, if you’re going to see the monument, but I would probably look at a different option. There are several cute cabin communities that I would look into instead.

The room was pretty clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent but has pretty much the same thing each day. The indoor pool was nice besides the jets not working very good on the hot tub. Cons were the whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and burnt popcorn. The doors were left open which sucked all the smoke in from the outside. The property only had 2 ice makers and 1 didn't work and the other one was always being used by people to fill their large coolers. Unfortunately I don't feel like this hotel was worth the money we spent.

Pretty conflicted review here…the rooms are clean, the location is convenient to much of Black Hills area, and the staff was fine. But, at very entrance the gift shop that everyone passes, they were selling Women for Trump hats and Trump 2024 hats. First of all, the guy won, so the latter hat is outdated. But, can I not even enjoy a hotel stay 500 miles from home, free from our polarized country due to the guy? Can’t we just leave the politics out of my hotel stay? Even if South Dakota is a red state, suffice it to stay that I didn’t appreciate it and won’t stay at a Best Western again. We all have to do our part if we don’t want to see the guy continue his reign of ignorance and decimation of our country. So, I cannot recommend this hotel due to this. If you’re a Trump supporter, have at it. If not, I recommend taking your business and money elsewhere where they worry about customers rather than politics.
