We truly enjoyed our Lake Hawkins Get A Way House
My husband and I came into Hawkins to visit family and this house fit our budget and time frame. The house is neat and clean and had everything we needed. The rain kept us from fishing, but we had every intention to wet a hook for a couple of hours. The house appears to be handicap accessible, although we do not yet need those accommodations. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. There is a TV available, but we did not need to watch movies or news. The house rules are simple, basically strip the sheets off of the used beds and place used linens in the washroom, empty the trash, load the dishwasher. We mostly use VRBO when we travel and some of the departing rules are very riigid. We did not cook, but there is plenty of cookware available. We would stay in this house again, especially if we had more guests and needed more than a couple of days. The host is very personable and her response was quick. Access was simple.
