Second time staying here and my husband and I got to use the exact same room we wanted at request which was great. The facilities are quite basic but it's value for money if you're mostly planning to go out to the nearby shops, restaurants, the casino or other places in Hamilton CBD and then want a lovely bed to sleep and relax in later. It could use a bit of a better cleaning service as we noticed a lot of built up dust behind the bedside tables but otherwise the sheets, bathroom & towels were all lovely & definitely sanitary. The decor of the VR is also quite beautiful with the high ceilings & color pallete. Thanks again for another wonderful stay.

The back entrance to the property was dirty and revolting. The hallways were unclean towards the main desk. Staff were friendly. The room smelt of stale smoke and was not welcoming. Corridors had no air movement and weren’t pleasant smelling. Holes in doors, torn carpet. The elevator needs repairing and the staircase was unclean, smelt awful.

Nice little get away in Hamilton

The best thing about this hotel is its location...right in the thick of it within Hamilton's CBD. It's so close to the restaurants, casino, museum and river. Had a great lunch down by the river at Madam Woos. Yes, the hotel is a past its prime but the rooms are spacious and ours was clean. The price also was great compared to other hotels in the vicinity. There is no parking at the hotel when we were there, so we parked on the street, a Wilson's carpark facility is nearby for those who would prefer a more secure parking option.

Wish I had read reviews before I booked. The place is so run down and needs a serious renovation. We arrived to being told we had to pay an extra $20 a day for parking, then got told to park over at the wilson carpark because our ute wont fit in their carpark. So we would have to have paid so much more to park, but we squeezed in anyway to avoid paying anymore. Entering the back of the building was filthy, and it stank, the floors havnt seen a mop in years. Once in the room i wanted to leave. The carpet was thread bare and looked incredibly dusty, the curtains were stained and had holes in them and bad patch up jobs on the walls. The water does not go hot! We had to have cold showers. Absolutely usless. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable, but the sheets had brown stains on them! Will not be back and gutted i wasted money here.
