Great ryokan in Hakone housed in a historic building. Very serene, elegant and beautiful. The dinner and breakfast were provided in the room and were both outstanding with locally sourced food and aesthetic arrangements. Onsen hot bath has multiple options, both private and public. Location is close to the station area, within walking distance along the river. Highly recommended!

This spot was amazing- clean facilities, helpful staff, fantastic onsen options, delicious food. I couldn't ask for more.
Traditional style Natural hot springs with private and public baths. Extra friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner was the highlight. Slept with the sound of the river flow.
We chose Fukuzumiro for one night during our honeymoon. We wanted a traditional experience, and we got it. Although very traditional, the building is clearly maintained very carefully. The staff is excellent and very very respectful. Koji-san served us really well. It made a huge difference in our experience. The dinner and breakfast are also awesome.
This was the exact authentic Japanese style experience I wanted. Everything from the decor to the clothes. Our room overlooked the river and was incredible to sit and watch while sipping tea.
Everyone at the ryokan was very attentive to our needs. The dinner and breakfast in our room were outstanding. The private onsets were very clean but a little hot. After adding cold water, the onsens were very relaxing. Overall, we had a memorable experience!
Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy.
This hotel was absolutely amazing. Our meals were delicious and they were able to cater to a vegetarian diet. The hosts were also very gracious and helped us with how to navigate to our train stop the next morning and even helped with repairing a wheel that had fallen off my suitcase earlier in the trip. The onsen experience was amazing as well
Feels like you are transported in time! Excellent service...and it wasnt too busy when I stayed. There are only a few rooms and it felt very quiet. Booking the private onsens was easy and the staff were super attentive! Food was AMAZING.
We didn't want a big modern resort but a traditional Japanese ryokan and we loved the stay here. The kaiseki meals and services were amazing! We stayed at Sakura 5 and it was very spacious for a family of 4. The building is showing its age but that's part of the historic charm. Highly recommended for an authentic Japanese ryokan experience.
