Do not believe any of the pictures or statements about the rooms. We booked a room with clear pictures of a kitchen and larger fridge and got a larger but bare room with no fridge or tv. Should not have unpacked and phoned Expedia. Showed pictures to manager felt like I was talking to a lawyer. He said it was expedias fault the pictures were wrong. But pictures are still up. Ask to get room promised but it was taken by larger group. Think they booked just after me so he put them in a kicked us out to a room that was not even close to what the listed room was. Place was nice but no elevators. Do not trust pictures or room claims or the owner.

This hotel felt safe and the beds were good. There was air conditioning that worked also which was great. The staff was very kind and helpful in translating. We were not the best guests because our flight was so delayed and I forgot to let them know we would be coming in after midnight. The staff was friendly in letting us into our rooms in the middle of the night. We didn’t realize our bathroom window 8 feet up was open without a screen and our room filled up with mosquitoes during the night. I was also awakened in the middle of the night by a cat in our bed who was very friendly, and must’ve jumped in through the window Even though our reservation said free breakfast there was none. I explained this to the staff and they gave me some bananas for my children. There was no hot water, but there was towels and soap. If you’re feeling adventurous, this is a great deal for the cost.

Thank you family and friends at Villa Hanh Phuc I had incredible time enjoying bai chay. The family/host are so wonderful. I was in the pool everyday after long walks, the little kitty and I would hang out to listen to the song birds sing. They offer massage, scooters and information about bai chay and Ha long. Communicating was easy and effortless. The most accommodating feature was the ability to extend my stay another day when I realized I needed more time which I payed them directly. (They will appreciate the savings from booking sites) The cost is what I was drawn too but not the reason I stayed. Thank you (Cam on) this is not goodbye (tam biet) but see you down the trail. ET from San Francisco, USA
