I really liked this hotel. It was very clean and the staff gave great service. We were disappointed to learn that we had to rent beach chairs and umbrellas to use on the beach. So for 6 of us, it would have cost almost $300 a day to stay on the beach. I think this ridiculous especially when you are paying a resort fee of $35 a day per person. What does that fee go towards?

The only problem I had was working my electronic door entry lock it failed 3 times and needed service it had to hold the handle and pull up on it and hold it completely up to push the door in

For what you get it definitely was not worth it. Besides your room, expect to add on a resort fee and valet parking fee. You have to use their valet parking. Our room was small, the sink was cracked and the shower needed some TLC to cover up the rust/mold. The fridge in our room was very dirty, therefore we didn’t use it and NO microwave! The 2 double beds were comfortable, the maid service was great and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. With that said, I would not recommend this particular Hilton.

I booked my hotel late and arrived late in the evening for one night. I was charged the usual fees and resort fees. My room was freezing. In the morning it was 60°. Despite attempting to adjust the thermostat. I took a hot shower. I was so cold but then I couldn’t stay in the bathroom because the water condensed on the ceiling and would drip on my head. I was very upset and gave the hotel the opportunity to produce a manager, which they were too busy. The service girl at the desk offered to cop me for the for the resort fee and I said that’s not good enough. I requested just to stay another night because it was so terrible and she said she couldn’t do that so I attempted to resolve it, but I’ve seen it much nicer places for a lot less

Beach chairs and umbrellas are upcharges

The hotel rooms are very tired, definitely due for a refresh. The common areas were nice and well maintained. The safe in my room was broken and we did not have our room serviced one day during our stay. Our soap dispenser in the shower was empty so I requested that it be filled. It was promptly filled by someone who left muddy footprints in my shower. I did not realize that parking was valet and cost $29 per day. The valet staff were fast and courteous. My primary area of discontentment was that on top of the cost of the hotel plus the daily activities fee, you have to rent basic beach chairs and umbrellas. I have stayed at more resorts than I can count and I have NEVER had to pay additional money for what should be basic amenities. My daughter and I ended up laying on towels on the sand and both got sunburns with no shade from an umbrella.
