El primer piso de esta hermosa casa cuenta con una cocina, un mostrador grande y un comedor y sala de estar con asientos para todos en su familia. También en este piso hay un dormitorio Queen, un sofá cama en la sala de estar y 2 baños completos. A medida que sube las escaleras, encontrará otra habitación Queen que comparte un baño con la habitación de literas al otro lado del pasillo. Más abajo en el pasillo encontrará dos dormitorios más, cada uno con una cama King, su propio baño y una hermosa vista del Golfo. El segundo piso también alberga una lavadora y secadora de tamaño completo. Awesome for a large group!

The 2 refrigerators, ice maker, huge kitchen table, plenty of hot water and cold AC made this property perfect for our large group. A couple mattresses need replacement but that was the only negative we had. We made a lot of memories here!

Plenty of room for large group

Lots of room for large group. Wi-Fi is spotty; one of us was trying to work some one day from the house and it would come and go. The house wasn’t as clean as it souls have been - especially the floors. If you rent this property & intend to cook, you’ll need to bring everything including salt and pepper! But we did have a great time and it was nice that we could ALL sit around one big table.

Great Location, Private and Family Friendly

Overall our stay was good. The family enjoyed the spacious living and dining areas. The beach was nice and you could leave your tent during the night so you could have the same place the next day. The staff that I communicated with was very kind and helpful. We had an issue with the upstairs AC on our last day, but it cooled during the night so it wasn't unbearable. They were sending out repairmen as we left the next morning. There were a few things that just needed to be repaired (dining room chair legs loose for example...we tightened them; the wooden balconies could be repaired/replaced. A little weak in areas.) Otherwise, a good time was enjoyed!

However, there was no cable TV (Directv was off) The beds had sand in the sheets, there were light bulbs out, the floors had not been mopped and the bathrooms were dirty.

The weather was cool so it wasn't unbearable. The house was nice and large enough for 10 adults and 8 kids. We were thankful for the two refrigerators and the icemaker. It is at a good location. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. We also walked to the Marina.

great property small flaws

The listing says washer and dryer upstairs and downstairs which there were, but neither dryer worked and when staying with 18 people we really needed a working dryer. The AC downstairs would freeze during the day and it would get to about 80-82 degrees. It would unfreeze at night and start working again. Floors downstairs VERY sandy when we arrived. other than that, wonderful place! We hope to stay again if we can confirm both washer/dryer are working :)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Plenty of room for everyone to have a bed. Access to pool and location is perfect. Easy to stop in at pool on the short walk back from the beach. Outside shower lets you rinse off before cooling off in the pool. Use the car ferry if you are arriving from the Mobile AL side. The ferry is very close to this house and allows you to skip the 18 mile trip from Gulf Shores and all the traffic. The living room sofa droops bad, but functional and all the beds felt great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This part of Gulf Shores is quiet yet easy to get to. The Sundowner is a great house when you include children and grandchildren. Lots of room and two sets of washer/dryer. The Pool is conveniently located on the walk between the beach and the house. We were told the owner was in the process of replacing the Sofa, which was in bad shape. A few of the pans need tossed, but there are still plenty of pans that are good. The folks at Sundowner Properties are easy to work with.

Relaxing Getaway

Our family was so excited to have spring break at the same time this year. We picked Fort Morgan because it was lower priced than Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, and we expected to be driving 30+ minutes a few times during our stay to find things to do. Instead, the house was perfect, and we chose to just stay in and play games, sit on the balconies and be together. The house was perfect for our family of 14. We had 3 adult cousins that loved having the 3rd floor to themselves, 3 young teens that fit perfectly in the bunk room and 4 couples who enjoyed the remaining rooms. Having 2 refrigerators and an ice maker saved us extra trips to the store, and we are most of our meals in the huge table that fit us all. The area is quiet, and was unlike any other beachfront spring break locations we’ve been to. I have recommended Sunset Properties to many people already because we loved this trip so much!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying this house was in a great location. The private beach was only a 5 minute walk away. I had a group of 13 and we all were able to move around comfortably without feeling like we were piled on top of each other, and the cleaning company did an amazing job! With that being said, the pictures need to be updated. Some of the cabinets in the kitchen are in really bad shape. There are multiple broken outlets throughout the house. There was only a total of 10 chairs at the dining room table. The others were in a closet because they were broken. All of these are cosmetic fixes that could easily be done, but the biggest negative is there were roaches in the kitchen area!!! So even though the location and size were great, the bugs were a huge letdown and I wouldn't return

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: At first glance, the house was perfect. The longer we stayed, the more problems we had. The only thing they offered us was to send a maintenance man over and to fumigate. The issues should have been taken care of before guests arrived. Nothing “broke” while we were staying there, the issues were things they should have Had in better condition before renting it out. Examples: roaches in the kitchen and pantry; one bed not completely put together, could fall apart; chairs and stools in the eating area are unsafe, my husband fixed one while we were staying there; very faint light in the upper stairway, not safe for seeing the steps at night; no Working light in the shower area of one of the bathrooms; broken kitchen drawer; mold on outside door, and on the wall in a bedroom; etc.

Very enjoyable stay

Our family enjoyed our stay. We had children, teens,and adults in our group of 16. Nice to have plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The extra long table was nice for our dinners. It was a walk to the beach but doable. It was nice to not have a house between us and the beach. We could sit on our deck and hear and see the ocean. The pictures in the information were accurate of the furnishings. Very bright colors. The couch in the living area could stand to be replaced, but no other negative comments to make. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware. It was nice to have 2 refrigerators plus an ice maker in the coffee bar.

Spacious Condo

This home had all the space and amenities we needed. Loved the fact that all rooms having a bathroom. The white sand beaches were close by. We enjoyed playing volleyball at the beach court, taking a dip in the sea, walking along the beach while watching dolphins, cooking lovely meals at the property, playing cards as well as board games and just relaxing. We would love to return again!

Annual Gulf Shores Vacation

We wanted to be close to our family’s condo, renting the Sundown unit was perfect for size & location. Great views and tons of space! The house does need quite a few repairs and new furniture. The unit on the other side is currently under construction so maybe they’ll improve both once that begins. But for our trip it worked just fine.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the location and how roomy the house is. The cleaning crew however needs to be evaluated. I have never seen a return air vent so filthy and the floors were nasty. The microwave was broke and the kitchen cabinets and drawers are in need of major repair. We lost some food because the small fridge didn’t seal. The furniture is dated and worn.
