The property is nice but dated. BONUS, its very close to the Canton Fair. No Bellman helped us with our luggage or greeted us when we first arrived. We decided to try 3 different 5 star hotels for each Phase of thr Canton Fair. All within walk distance to the Fair. All the exact same price range. The Shanghai-la honestly felt like a money grab and didnt actually provide any service. For example other hotels offered cocktail hours, welcome drinks, someone explained all the different dining options, engaged with us, and checked in with us daily to see how we are doing or if any needs werent being met. That being said all the staff we encountered pleasant. The outdoor pool closes early to be allowed entrance to the indoor pool you must wear a swim cap and lane swim. As a side note... the hot tubs are separated by gender and located in the individual change rooms.
