Our room was nice. The shower was great. The pool was refreshing. The only thing that bothered me was that someone kept propping open door number 2, obviously to let someone in who didn't have a key card. That compromises all our safety, so I did not like that. And the staff didn't seem to be aware of the problem because I kept finding door number 2 propped open with a rock, a shoe, a used Bojangle's cup... If they could have been more on top of that safety situation, I would give them five out of five, but as it was, I give them four out of five.

The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and that was the only positive point of our stay. It looked like a frat party was occuring in a bunch of rooms. Drug use was occuring on stairs en route to my room. Rooms were not clean, food left in fridge, cigarette burns on dingy sheets, bathroom light did not work. This place is NOT family friendly
The first room 223 was nasty had a dirty rag in the sink tub and toilet nasty bed wasn’t made tv didn’t work either. Then we got switched to another 227 it was a little better but never will go back to that location again. There was young kids walking around saw people climbing in hotel windows. It was not a good experience.

This Wingate Hotel was great value for the price. It was very clean and the room was nicely appointed (two queen beds with a small sitting area including an electronic fireplace.) It is situated about a mile from the exit, and we assume the slight distance from the other hotels is the reason for the lower rate. It is totally worth the extra 30 second drive.
Beer cans and trash all through the parking lot, cigarette butts in our room and burn holes in our bed linens. Leaky bathtub faucet and cracked bathroom door that doesn't close. The cleanliness was definitely substandard, I am very disappointed.
