We stayed one night as we were passing through the area. Many of the staff are brought here for the summer from other countries and some have difficulty speaking English so there was a difficult time communicating with several of them. We ate at the restaurant and were very disappointed in the quality of the service and food. While the server was very friendly she was very slow and lacked attention to detail. We ordered walleye cakes as an appetizer and they were over cooked and dry. For the main entree I ordered the Parmesan crusted walleye and it too was overcooked to the point of nearly inedible. It took over 10 minutes to get our drink order. On the positive side our desserts were served quickly after we ordered them. The toilet in our room was not working properly and the room overall needs a deep cleaning. I actually wrote “clean me” with my finger in an area that had a heavy layer of dust accumulation. The price we paid for the room and the food in the restaurant was not worth what we got so needless to say we won’t be back and we definitely will not recommend it to anyone.
