Hot shower, clean room, soft bed, quiet area, nice working pool, yummy hot breakfast, and a decent area for walking the dog. My only complaint is the heavy perfume smell in the room, presumably from carpet/upholstery cleaner. I much prefer hard laminate floors in the room.

The hotel is currently being renovated, so some of this might not be accurate after my review. There were a couple areas in our bathroom that needed it. The front desk was very friendly. The room itself was clean and there was no strange odor. Always grateful when hotels offer a non-dairy alternative, so thank you! However, the bed was SO firm that I barely slept. Some people like firm beds, but that’s not me. We only stayed one night then traveled to another Fairfield in TX for a tournament and that bed wasn’t as firm (thankfully), so it must vary. The renovation started around 9am in the rooms beside us. We were already up, so this wasn’t a problem, but I’d request to not be near this if you’re sensitive to noises. This isn’t a review to the hotel, but possibly helpful to travelers. Make sure you turn into the hotel and not at the light back onto the highway or you have to drive additional 15 minutes. Lol. This mattered a lot to us because we’d already been in the car for 12 hours. Overall, I’d recommend it here if you don’t mind firm beds. :)

Bad Room

I feel like we got a bad room. The lobby and breakfast area seemed clean and nice. The breakfast was good. Friendly staff. Our room appeared clean. The bathroom was horrible. I woke up all congested and figured out why as soon as I went to the bathroom. There was what looked like black mold on the wall around the shower. The shower itself was not cleaned because there was a lid left from the previous guests with some kind of pink residue around it and hair. The floors were filthy. I don't know if the other rooms are in similar conditions.

Like almost every other Fairfield lately, this one was undergoing renovation. Fortunately, they were nearly completed and it is a very nice property. For the first time in recent memory, I had a nice view from my room.

Hotel under renovation. Clean but still has an old feel with accomodations a bit awkward. Parking is fair to poor with little to no visual. Hotel sits right on I-20 - Road noise is extreme but the location is great.

The property was a little hard to turn into, you drive past the hotel and enter around the back. Not the most desirable area since it’s right near the highway, but they did provide ear plugs. The room wasn’t necessarily dirty, but it was unclean. There was a quarter under the bedskirt and crumbs on the side/behind the bed. Lines and towels were clean, no bugs or any major concerns but it was dusty around the microwave, little things like that. Clearly going through renovations, so we were forgiving. Overall good for one night.
