It was easy to get a room. Manager/owner was very nice. Liked that it had a balcony viewing the lake. Didn't like that there were no washcloths in bathroom and had to go to office to get them. There were no coffee/condiments with the coffee pot.

The room we got a first was muggy when we opened the door and had visible mold on the night shades, as well as mosquitos and other smaller bugs. When I went to the desk to ask for another room, the man did mention the bugs are not mosquitoes. So there was some hesitancy to exchange the room but he did do so. The new room was not muggy or too buggy but it didn’t look very clean. To me I would expect a better kept room for almost $100/night, but this place has the market for motels in the area!

I love the location of this hotel and the fact that had a boat launch behind it so I was able to launch my kayak from there. But……. Went to go take a shower and the shower did not work nor with the drain even close so I could take a bath. They moved me to another room, but it kind of had a funky smell .

Great view of lake- Poor Value

Very old property that has been renovated. While appearance is fine, general overall condition is lacking. Stairs look to be in need of replacing. Bath linens are very thin quality and bath cloths thin with holes and bad staining. You are only provided with 1 bath towek, 1 hand towel and 1 bath cloth per person in the room. Beds have a thin sheet as a topper and it was impossible to be comfortable due to temperatures being too cold with not even a thin blanket. Floors need mopping. When checking in, your card is run for the entire stay. While I didn't have an issue with that, per se, I found it odd. It was impossible to get the front desk to answer. No breakfast provided. Not even a coffee pot in the room. No hair dryer in the room. No iron in the room. For the price, you're better off driving to Ruston to stay at a better property with better amentities. I wish i could have given a more posotive review because i like to support small local businesses. I hope the owner takes note and makes improvements or lowers the price.

I wouldn't recommend staying there. The minute I opened the motel door there was an odor in the room. My sliding glass door handle was partially missing and broken. No coffee pot or even coffee offered in the lobby in the morning. I will not return.

We enjoyed being so close to the lake! The room was mostly clean (floors looked pretty dirty) but it did smell faintly of cigarette smoke. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars
