There is no wonder this place has a perfect review scoring...it is amazing!! The hosts are great, the house is awesome, and there is so much thought that has gone into the little things. I SO hope life brings us back to this area again for a longer time so we are able to stay again and longer!!

The host was super friendly and communicative and made sure we felt right at home. The house is so incredibly neat - with plenty of room to both congregate for game night or separate for a little peace and quiet. The balcony as well as the huge patio are both set up as great extensions of the spacious house. I’d love to visit again, when it’s a little warmer outside and we could enjoy the outside more. Regardless of the cold weather, we had a super memorable trip and the house and hosts made us feel right at home. Also, it’s prefectly located half way in between the Dinosaur Valley State Parj and the Cleburne State Park, which we were able to visit and enjoy both.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Fossil Farmstay and couldn’t have asked for a better home. We were celebrating my son’s 11th birthday and hosted multiple families, a total of 14 people, and the space was perfect for it. The home felt warm, elevated, and welcoming, striking a great balance between comfort and luxury. Everything was clean, well maintained, and exactly as described.The layout worked beautifully for our group. The kids had space to play and roam freely, the men watched the game in one room, the older kids enjoyed a movie in another, and the moms cooked together, listened to music, and danced in the kitchen while meals came together. Everyone had room to relax and connect without ever feeling crowded.The setting was peaceful and restorative. After full days of hiking and exploring, it was such a treat to return to a cozy, inviting home. Some of us turned in early, others relaxed in the hot tub to ease sore muscles, and a few gathered by the fire enjoying conversation and marshmallows.This home became part of a truly special core memory for our family and friends. The hosts were wonderful, communication was seamless, and the entire stay was easy from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Fossil Farmstay for families or groups looking to make meaningful memories.

We had two families with kids staying here, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We appreciated the details that made traveling with children easier. Loved the location..we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet. The backyard was amazing! S'mores and the hot tub were a hit!

This home was precious - decorated so nicely, one of the most striking homes I’ve stayed in. Really thoughtful touches too - for kids, babies, exercise stuff. We loved the games, I loved the books, the coffee room was adorable, so many rooms and spaces, the secret room was the coolest. This home was both very spacious and cozy. I had some user error issues, not the fault of the host or home - and they were very available and kind to text, send a video on how to work the fire pit, dropped off batteries too. The TVs were quirky being in close proximity to each other, the remotes would pick up on other TVs - but we figured it out. It was quiet and safe! We’d go back!

Loved loved loved it. They thought of everything! We had four kids ages 1-6 and 3 adults - definitely enough room for more. We loved the hot tub and playground. The beds are so comfy. I eapecially loved the blackout curtains/blinds in every bedroom!

Me, my children, and my grands stayed here to celebrate my 60th and my Moms 81st. What a wonderful place for all of us. Plenty of space, even large bathrooms that felt very spa like. This place delivers all it claims. From outdoor activities, to indoor games, and a very good kid zone. The outdoor space is excellent. The upper balcony...just saying, one of my favorite spots. Everything about this is place says comfy down home luxury. The host communications, check in.. everything spot on. Will definitely recommend.

Family get away!

We loved it! The house was so big and they had something for everyone. Whether it was the speakeasy for the adults or the games/play area for the kids. Thank you so much! Especially for the s’mores we enjoyed them also.

Fun, Relaxing, and Kid-Friendly

We had a fantastic stay at Fossil Farmstay! We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, making s’mores by the fire pit, and playing on the playground. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation for the whole family.

Great Place for the Whole Family!

We had a great stay with our extended family. It was easy to travel here with a baby, as a lot of baby necessities were already at the house. The playground and tetherball were a hit, as were the fire pit and hot tub. The owners responded quickly to any questions we had. The home was cozy and clean, and very well decorated. We definitely recommend this place and hope to return in the future!

Beauty and comfort in the countryside

When my family was invited to a wedding near Glen Rose, we had no idea what to expect or where to stay. We were so lucky to have found Fossil Farmstay! After a long trek from North Carolina, we walked in the front door and immediately felt pampered and relaxed. The house is beautiful and immaculate, without being fussy. The kind of luxury that feels welcoming and livable. The hosts put a lot of thought and care into considering every need. The beds were super comfortable, the rooms were spacious, the backyard was great for both people and pets, and the amenities were top quality. And in almost every room there was a thoughtful touch that made us say, “What a terrific idea!” (In fact, we contacted to hosts after our stay to get details about some of those ideas so that we could replicate them at home!) And speaking of contacting the hosts, the communication with them was fantastic. Their pre-arrival instructions were thorough and easy to understand, and they were super-responsive from start to finish. High marks across the board. Fossil Farmstay was a fantastic home away from home.

Family-Approved at Fossil Farmstay

A wonderful weekend at Fossil Farmstay! We had three generations (6 adults, 1 young child, 1 small dog) under one roof for an extended weekend and the hosts thought of everything for their property. From a stocked coffee & tea bar and s’mores station, to lawn games, board games, children's books & toys, pet supplies, tvs in every bedroom, and more! We felt comfortable in this well-supplied home and enjoyed the thoughtful details and design found throughout. Great A/C, blackout shades, & ceiling fans in every room helped us keep cool with TX summer heat. Layout accommodated our family’s needs well. Peaceful countryside location was just outside of Glen Rose and was easy to navigate in/out of town regularly. Hosts were thorough in communication regarding the home (i.e. comprehensive information in the listing’s write-up; automated messages with add’l key booking/property information; guest binder within the home), and were responsive to messages during our stay. We would be happy to return to this property when back in the area!
