The room, spa and hotel in general is great as are the reception staff. The stay is just marked down on the service of the concierge who was rather negative rather than helpful, although I do get the feeling he may have been a stand in rather than permanent staff The other surprising thing was that housekeeping knocked on the door with "I just wanted to see if it was empty so that I could clean... when will you be gone so that I can clean?" It should be on the system whether I have checked out and the room free? I find this annoying enough at premier inn and don't expect it at the Blythswood. These are small points but a trip to the Blythswood is supposed to be magical and relaxing and these staff members' actions let the hotel down on this occasion

Breakfast was lovely - quick, fresh & good quality. Spa was lovely. The pool is such a nice warm temperature. I’ve stayed before (and loved it) but still manage to get lost. Would definitely recommend.

Had the dreamiest stay at my favourite hotel. I just got married last week and myself and my husband came here for a chilled night. Margarita the angel on reception was so kind and managed to upgrade our garden view suite to the executive due to the celebration. This was hands down the best room I have ever stayed in and I’m a bit of a hotel snob. The spa was incredible, dinner and drinks were lovely and we ordered room service breakfast the following morning because we simply didn’t want to leave out room. You practically had to drag me down the stairs to check out. Thank you thank you for such an incredible stay x

This is our second visit although almost 10 years in between! We loved the spa although it is showing some signs of being 10 years older - as are we! Breakfast was delicious but we were plagued by little fruit flies and the waiter wasn’t especially apologetic. He did offer to move us but why sit us there in the first place? Other than that we had a lovely stay and it was a great way to get into the Xmas spirit with a bit of self care.

We love the blythswood. We stayed here two weeks ago and we had the most amazing stay. Last night was unfortunately slightly disappointing. It did not have the wow factor like normal. There was no greeting at the door, no offer to help with car or bags. We had received prosecco on arrival two weeks ago, but not yesterday. Our room was on the bottom floor which was fine. Spa was absolutely mobbed - we saw staff turn away guests due to how busy it was in the limited spa hours. We were only given one set of slippers in our room. The moisturiser didn’t work so couldn’t use it after the shower. We did have a nice time but nothing stood out compared to normal. If this was our first stay I don’t think we would have rushed back.

Room was clean however not sure if it was a full room service everyday or just towels changed as there were days where bedding didn’t seemed changed and rubbish wasn’t removed from room. Spa access is restricted however this is totally understandable and the facilities are amazing. Overall the hotel, staff and facilities were outstanding. Breakfast was fabulous! Well worth the money.
