Only spent 1 night here but very happy with the experience . The rooms & breakfast were good & the staff lovely. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off around midnight but the staff evacuated the building with the minimum of fuss & kept us informed about what was going on . Fortunately a false alarm caused by steam in one of the rooms . Would certainly recommend.

Trip was good, but room number 177 looked a bit tired and need of redecorating in areas. Remote for TV didn’t appear to be in the room, as the phone in the room didn’t work I had to go to reception to report it, the lad at the desk managed to supply one but sadly it didn’t work. After a full search of the room the missing remote was found under the bed. There is also a loud noise of rushing water in the bathroom day and night.

Decent stay, close to the city centre and close to the station. Good price quality point but one disappointing note was the breakfast. Very limited option, low quality and a few staples missing - eg no milk alternatives (who doesn’t offer Oat milk in 2025?), coffee was undrinkable and beyond eggs, beans on toast and sausages, empty croissants, bread, butter and frozen fruit, there was really not much else to eat
