KIng charles Hotel

It was our first time at the KIng Charles Hotel, the staff were very friendly, the room we had was nice and clean. The only thing was we could hear the traffic outside, all night. So we didnt get alot of sleep,as we were woken up alot. Apart from that the hotel itself was excellent. We would come back again, as long as we could have a different room, away from the main road.

The staff are really friendly its a quiet hotel you can hear cars in the distance but very faintly its got gorgeous fish tank in reception and a pond outside

Very convenient for our needs. Clean and comfortable room, everything we needed and more. Tea and coffee in our room, hairdryer and toiletries. Staff warm and friendly, very welcoming. All staff at Reception efficient and friendly. Room was excellent at the back of the hotel so no traffic noise. Rooms were cleaned daily before midday. Breakfast was okay but could have done with a variety of yoghurts to choose from rather than a bowl of natural yoghurt to help yourself. Quick service by staff in Restaurant and efficient. Very close for visiting Chatham Dockyard also the train station. The price for bed and breakfast per night was very reasonable.

The hotel has a very old-school vibe with dated decor throughout. While the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms surprisingly spacious, the overall feel is quite outdated—especially the tiny TVs which felt like a blast from the past. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but the breakfast experience was disappointing: the selection was limited and the breakfast staff were quite rude. After the first morning, we chose to eat at Wetherspoons instead. Wouldn’t stay again, but it’s passable if you just need a place to sleep for the night.
