We booked this hotel over others in the area because it has a swimming pool, unfortunately this was closed for the New Year but no mention of this on the website. Our room was clean but very tired, broken mirror, flaking paint. Bad night’s sleep due to ultra soft bed and the air conditioning that dried us out despite having the window open. We were going to treat ourselves to the breakfast but decided to head for home and get some sleep.

Room was comfortable but the shower head didn't come out far enough, you had to stand very close to the wall to get under the water. Out of the 5 days we were there, breakfast was lukewarm and sometimes cold on 4 of those days, otherwise I would have given you 5 stars. Staff were brilliant all round.

Clean rooms, fresh bed sheets and towels, delicious dinner (XL nacho platter, pizza and boneless wings) In the morning a feast of a breakfast, including fresh coffee, fruits, full English or continental (or French) Definitely coming back if we need accommodation in this area.

The room was very clean. Staff in all areas were helpful and polite. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed for 3 nights. The first night was a nightmare - we couldn't get a wink of sleep due to clonking pipes. However, when we spoke to the lady on reception the next morning this was resolved. She liased with the maintenance lady and our room was changed. This allowed us to have 2 good nights sleep! The way that a problem is resolved is a great indicator of good customer service - and this was faultless. We also had a small dog with us and the hotel was very dog friendly. We had to eat in the bar area but this was no problem. The team did seem a bit short staffed at times in the bar as they were trying to look after the restaurant as well.

The best hotel we have stayed in for a long time. Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent and even though we went for a simple burger meal it wa very good like eating steak in a bun. The swimming pool was lovely and not too busy

The room was warm, comforatble and completely clean. The cleaners were excellent. Loved the complimentary drinks in the fridge and biscuits/crips. James was exceptionally helpful when I asked about the fridge and dinner. Parking was plentiful and easy. I didn't eat there but there is a supermarket open till 10PM and a KFC a couple of minutes walk away. I would certainly stay here again. Thanks.

All areas clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful, however staffing levels could be reviewed. There were times when bar and catering areas could do with additional help during busy periods. Especially as this festive period progresses. Hotel was very busy at times and wait times were not great.
