This was a very sketchy area. The hotel was dirty. Bedsheets had stains, walls were stained. The parking is offsite. There are no local restaurants. The breaker for our room kept flipping, so we kept losing power. Skip this hotel!

The room was nice, but there was beer cans left in the bin from a prior guest. Made us question how clean the bedding was if the bins weren’t even emptied. Water temp was touchy. Did not know I could withstand the equivalent of hellfire in liquid form. Website said the pool was open until 10pm but closed before 9pm. So that was unfortunate. Otherwise staff was wonderful.

My stay at the Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa Downtown was outstanding thanks to the exceptional service I received. Check-in and check-out were fast and seamless, but what truly impressed me was how the staff handled an issue with my Expedia booking. Lina and Aziza went above and beyond also the person in the fromt desk (Sorry I do not have his name); they assisted me immediately and then worked directly with Expedia to resolve the misunderstanding. Their professionalism and kindness deserve special recognition! The rooms and bathrooms were immaculately clean, with great water pressure and hot water. Parking was also convenient and well-maintained. Thanks to Lina, Aziza, and the entire team, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Five-star service!

This room had bad odor eminating from the carpet. Carpet was damp to walk on. No darkening curtain on the windows. Had clear shear curtain over the large windown in the bedroom. Due to bad odor, I asked for another room and was told that the hotel was fully booked and that the odor was from the old rugs and that the hotel could send someone to spray the rugs. This situation was a health hazard.
