A wonderful stay. The morning service at the temple was a profound experience. The introduction to zazen was great, though Japanese speakers will get most out of this - ditto the lecture before morning service. The meals were excellent, and everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. All together, this short stay was a true highlight of my month in Japan. If you’re staying over a Tuesday, you should be aware that (all?) the restaurants in Eiheiji village seem to close on that day. I’m sure the concierge at the hotel will be able to advise on where to get lunch.

２泊させていただきましたが、４食の食事がどれも美味しくボリュームもあって大満足でした。 永平寺への参拝が主目的で選んだ宿でしたが、次回は柏樹關さんに宿泊することを目的に伺いたいです。

永平寺と連携している(？)ホテルのようで、受付にも徳の高そうなお坊様がいらっしゃいました。 ホテルはとてもキレイで静か、さらに精進料理がとても美味しかったです。 ホテルの前には小川が流れており、とても雰囲気の良い立地でした。
