The Surfsonian - 2nd Row Beach House - Dog Friendly - Ocean View

Welcome to the Surfsonian, our beautiful beach house steps away from the water. The peaceful and relaxing setting offers second row ocean views and sounds. Newly updated with lots of character. The deck is ready for you to sit and watch the waves or walk 30 seconds to reach the water. You'll love relaxing in this space inside and out. The super chill Village of Surfside is conveniently located 1 hour from downtown Houston and 15 minutes from Lake Jackson.

The property sits on the second row of houses from the water. The deck offers great views of the waves.
Inside the Kitchen and Living area flows together, offering a place for everyone to hang out and relax. The Master bedroom has a king bed & a Roku TV with private access to shared full bath. The second bedroom has a king bed and Roku TV as well. The third bedroom has two twin bunkbeds - sleeping 4. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed as well as a twin bunk on top of a futon that lays down into a full bed. The twin bunk on top is a bit of a tight squeeze. So that's for the guest who likes to climb.

The house has a whole house iSpring water filter as well as a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen for drinking water. The reverse osmosis system is the water source for the refrigerator water and ice maker.

This beach house was built in 1970 and has seen a lot of beautiful beach days and weathered many storms. After we bought the house in March of 2022, we took the structure down to the studs to completely replace the electrical and plumbing. We did our best to update the space appropriately while preserving the old wood surfaces including the rustic hardwood floors, because it reminded us of our favorite vacation cabin in Lake Tahoe. To us - it's the perfect blend of rustic and new.

Surfside Beach Access is 0.7 miles away. Surfside Jetty County Park is 0.5 miles.
The seawall is directly in front of the house.

Since the house is in the wonderful state of Texas, mosquitos are, unfortunately, a thing we have to deal with on the island. Although it is out of our control, we have taken action by spraying our yard with nontoxic repellent. We also provide personal spray and outdoor area fogger for your use. Those are also nontoxic.

HOUSE RULES:

NO SMOKING: Absolutely no smoking allowed.

DOG FRIENDLY with a fee:
Dogs are not allowed on the furniture. If your pet is left unattended, it needs to be in a kennel indoors. There is a large dog kennel under the master bedroom bed.
The city of Surfside requires dogs to be leashed at all times. Please pick up & properly dispose of pet wastes.
Only 2 dogs permitted.

REGISTERED GUESTS: Only guests presented on booking may stay at the property.

OCCUPANCY: Max 13 unless approved prior to stay.

PARTIES: No parties allowed on property.
