"We stayed in the double queen with pull out couch room that sleeps 6, it was plenty big for our family. The hotel was okay, it’s older, wasn’t as clean as I’d like and the room smelled musty. The lobby was nice and clean and looked updated. Breakfast was good and the staff was really nice."

"The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my children and I. Very attentive and great communication. This is my 4th time at this hotel in the last few months with both work and personal travel. I have tried other hotels in the area, that are around the same rate, and found them subpar. Very quiet and safe area. Easy access to the entire city within a 5 minute drive. Massive park a few blocks down, with an equally as large handicap park attached to it. It is also covered by the bridge, so rainy days are NOT an issue! "

"My cousin and I found the guest house beautiful, as well as color coordinated throughout. It was very comfortable and clean with fresh sheets. Large tv’s in both the den — that the kitchen opened into — and bedroom. The king bed was very comfortable, something that was a bonus since I don’t always find beds that way! The bathroom was large, with a washer and dryer. It was well appointed and included a walk-in shower. There was a covered patio with table and chairs just a few feet from the door which we enjoyed as well. The one and only downside was that you couldn’t see the water from the guest house or patio outside. In order to see and reach Bayou Teche you had to walk around the main house, though it was a short walk to the water. There was a wonderful pier over the water. While we didn’t fish you could see them jumping! There were also comfortable lounge chairs that we set up on the dock, enjoying the water and scenery. So very quiet and peaceful. :) Heather and Mac were wonderful hosts, giving you complete privacy but available should you need to talk with them. In all a very pleasant stay!"

"Our stay was wonderful. The location was very rural which made it very quiet and peaceful. The view from the screened area in the rear of the river was relaxing (and bug free). Glasses and plates were plentiful. Short on eating utensils. Just grab some plastic with a carryout meals. The pictures of the inside and outside was exact. Very clean and well maintained.
