We were excited to stay here, but were quickly regretting our decision after arriving. The property as a whole is extremely run down and in need of repairs & paint. There was an ashtray near the elevator that was full of the same cigarettes & garbage the entire week we were there. The room was ok but the beds were uncomfortable and the carpets needed cleaning I felt like I had to wash my feet every time I walked on them. The balcony was dirty and our room overlooked the pool & it was very loud and noisy. There is limited parking due to all the construction vehicles & equipment parked everywhere & lots projects and areas of the parking lot dug up but no one working on them. It smelled like sewer outside of our building so walking to the beach was not pleasant. On the high side the beach is beautiful and they had plenty of beach chairs but they come at a cost of $15- $20 per day where other resorts provide chairs & umbrellas for free. There is a $19.95 resort fee per day & they tried to charge me an additional $60 for internet which they did agree to remove. Our final bill with resort fees & beach chairs was over $200 on top of the nightly rate to just stay there. Overall if I had to do it over again I would have stayed at Seaside Inn again where we had free internet, free chairs, no daily resort fees & views of the ocean from all rooms! I will not recommend this resort to my friends and will not stay here again.

You heard from me directly about the deception that you and the hotel engage. I won't repeat here.

Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain

'Tween Waters facilities are modern, spacious, and comfortable for couples and families. Driving there from I75 is a bit of a chore. We unfortunately had reservations during a persistent storm residents described as "the worst rains we've seen without a hurricane". We would have cancelled / rescheduled but we booked through a third party vendor. Can't imagine how beautiful the experience would have been in nice weather.

Great Hotel/Resort

We had a great experience at this resort-like hotel! We were there for 5 nights and never had to leave the place. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, starting at the front desk, the wait staff in all the restaurants , housekeeping , to security . The pool area with the umbrellas was a great place to relax. The beach right across a quiet 2 lane road was very nice, chairs and umbrellas were available at a very reasonable charge. The continental breakfast was sensational , all the fruit was fresh every day, and the pastries were freshly baked and delicious! Will definitely stay there again!

Amazing Time and Definitely coming back

Pros: We loved the fact that the hotel was quaint, grounds immaculate, rooms spacious, comfy, and updated. The staff was pleasant and always around.
Location: Water activities abound or you can sit on the beach, with your toes in the sand while your kids collect shells. The Bubble Room is a must go to spot!
Loved the Tween Waters Inn. From the quaint buildings (cottages and hotel buildings) to the immaculate grounds, and the always present staff, the experience was first class. Our check in experience was quick and our room available. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. PERFECT! Spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We did have a tiny incident -- it's Florida -- but it was quickly remedied. This was the first vacation spot my son has loved and didn't want to leave. He was ready to move and take up the Salt Life. The resort and surrounding area is family friendly. I highly recommend Tween Waters and Captiva. We will definitely be returning!

Great hotel with lots to do

Pros: We liked everything.
Cons: The live band in their casual restaurant was too loud both nights so we left. We would have liked to try this restaurant too.
Location: The location is great for shelling, kayaking, boating, dining, shops nearby.
My husband and I spent a weekend at the Tween Waters Inn after reading several positive reviews. The hotel has been refurbished so whereas the outside appearance is a little dated, the interiors (rooms, restaurants) were all perfectly updated with a cool resort-y feel. The rooms were spotless and the a/c was ice cold. We walked and fished the surf at the beach across from the hotel which had much less of a crowd than the public beaches. We used the pool, which was typical of a resort pool and plan to rent their kayaks and use the tennis courts on our next visit. We will probably also bring our flats boat next time as they have a boat launch and a nice marina on the bay side. Their restaurant "Captiva House" serves one of the best rib eye steaks I've had. Everything we ordered was delicious, though pricey. Breakfast is included (pastries, a lovely variety of fruit, cereal, yogurt). If you want to order off the menu we would recommend the huevos rancheros - it was delicious.

Great location, beautiful beach

Tween Waters has eveything you need for a great get away. Huge pool with a bar, paddle boarding and boat rentals, slips for your boat, and a beautiful beach with crystal clear water. They have pet friendly rooms and all the rooms have screened porches. 2 restaurants on site and walking distance to more. Food was great and the staff was professional and nice. We will be back!!

Relaxed Resort Feel, Old Florida Style

Pros: Clean, well maintained, everything you need to enjoy yourself. If you love nature you will love this place.
Cons: Elevator in Seagrape would be nice, like the rest of the buildings.
Location: We biked both Captiva and Sanibel. Love the bay. Enjoyed the pool. Food is great.
The place is truly a free flowing property. Beautiful landscaped. Your in the middle of a natural area filled with osprey, manatees, herons, pelicans..... Amazing beaches, stunning bay views. The staff if there if you need them but basically they just leave you to do as you want. Not stuffy, you feel like you belong the moment you arrive. Franz the bartender is the best, the pool and the pool staff are so nice. We will return in the off season since we live just two hours north.
