Beautiful Old World charm boutique hotel situated in a great location. Uffizi Gallery is across the piazza. Galleria Dell'Accademia di Florence is short walk down cobblestone streets. Restaurants and shopping near to choose from. Staff warm and welcoming. Room very comfortable, spacious. George and his staff make an amazing breakfast. Would definitely return again. Thank you for a lovely time.

Mateo and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome here. We rented this place at the last minute because the VRBO we booked several months prior ghosted us and never sent check in instructions. Mateo dropped everything to get us checked in and gave us a tour of the beautiful, historic palace. It’s a magnificent boutique hotel with only 12 rooms and they make you feel like you’re the only guest. They seemed upset when we weren’t able to come for breakfast since we had early trains to catch each day that we were there. I wish I could have extended our trip because we didn’t want to leave here! Also, the location is superb, right there in Piazza del Signoria!!!

We were in the top floor apartment and it was not very well maintained. It was dusty with very worn sofa, drapes, and bed cushions, and the thermostat did not function well. There was a mirror in the bathroom that was dangerously cracked. The property is ideally located in Piazza Signoria, in a characteristic 13th-16th century building; the breakfast was good, the staff were freindly and helpful and guests were invited to help themselves to alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages in the fridge. These latter amenities were all great but did not quite offset the condition of our room, especially for the price.

Such a charming, clean, friendly boutique hotel.

This is such a charm hotel. Remember it’s Italy and so everything is slightly worn. The beds and pillows were great and extra towels provided. They have a mini bar with free waters, sodas and juices and it’s self service. The breakfast was very charming. Pastries, fruit plates, yogurt and eggs cooked to your order. The coffee options were amazing and the best coffee!!! The location could not be better. Best best location for walking. 4 minutes to the Duomo, 2 minutes to the Uffizi, and right at one of the best plazas. Restaurants and shopping everywhere. Mini fridge was great for keeping sodas and waters cold. The elevator is so ao so tiny that we just walked the stairs. Lots of stairs but it’s Italy after all. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and arranged taxis as needed.

Located in a historic building with a world of charm, this unique hotel/B&B in the heart of Florence was one of the highlights of our trip. The only better location in Florence would be insideUffizi itself or at a Medici villa. Each room is unique but beautiful with its own view of historic city. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The family style breakfast every morning is high quality and not to be missed. You will meet people from all colors of life and learn a gem or two from each one. Don’t be fooled by its unassuming exterior, there is so much history, charm, and beauty behind that wooden door. If you are here to experience Florence, can not recommend it enough.

Look no further, this is a fantastic place to stay and offers great value. We traveled as a family of four with a 14-year-old and an 11-year-old. The service was top-notch and we felt like we were part of the family. The hotel is in an excellent location and our apartment was great. The place is owned by a family and they understand service and were incredibly hospitable. The breakfast spoiled us with made to order eggs, a beautiful plate of fruit, and the freshest rolls and croissants. The coffee was excellent and unfortunately, we haven’t found as good of coffee anywhere else in Italy.. The staff are wonderful, every single one of them. A few things to note, the rooms are up a narrow flight of stairs, so if you have any physical challenges, this might not be the best place, although there is a small elevator. The staff go out of their way for you. For example, we couldn’t get reservations at several of the nice restaurants And the sun in the family physically went down and out of the hotel, and walked to the restaurant and made a reservation for us. He also made reservations via phone. They provide unlimited water, minibar, etc. we have been staying at multiple places and this one by far was the best and exceeded our expectations.

This hotel was unlike any other! It felt like youre staying at a friend or family members house, not a hotel! All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Their delicious breakfast normally starts at 8 AM, but we had an excursion planned and needed to head out by 7:15. They got started with breakfast early and made sure that we had some coffee and pastries before we needed to leave!! The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the hotel is within walking distance to all the sights and restaurants. If we come back to Florence, we will definitely be staying here again. 10/10!
