Nice room for one or two people. A/c was great! Nice view of market and street area. The person on staff was super helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate start to the day. Allows leaving bags before checking in and after checking out. You will have to walk in from a block or two away due to busy market in the streets during the day

The hotel has amazing and free breakfast and super close to all the tourist spots and diners. We did not even use taxi- even the train station was walkable.I would love to stay here again

This is really more of a B&B than a hotel. The entrance was not marked well but once you know where it is, it is an easy entrance. Thwre are 3 steep flights up the stairs (no elevator) The location is very close to all the major sights and you can walk everywhere. There are excellent restaurants in walking distance. The service provided by staff was excellent and the room was very spacious, and came with a filled small frosge that was free to use. The only downside to this location is the noise - the daily market with very touristy vendors is open until 7 pm daily and the cleanup takes place until late at night, then there are people out and about late at night, and then at 6 am the vendors for the market start setting up again. But the convience to everything was well worth it.

Central Florence Gen

Very easy and convenient location. Host was very accommodating and let us check in early. Breakfast was more than expected with a variety of pastries, yogurt, juices, coffee, fruit and cereal. I may have misread only 4 stairs to the hotel, but it was 4 stories of stairs. A difficulty for my husband. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and bath supplies plentiful. Very nice and they let us leave our luggage after checkout to retrieve later. I recommend Hotel Il Mercato Centrale… part of the marketplace and next to Pinocchio Restaurant… a favorite of ours.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! They really thought of everything — not just shampoo and shower gel, but also toothbrushes, toothpaste, little chocolates, and a few free drinks in the minibar. When I checked in, the AC was already on — such a small thing, but it makes a big difference and was so appreciated. Staff also helped me find ideal parking for my large car, and earplugs were provided since the street can get a bit noisy at night. Breakfast had a nice variety: pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, and juices. And the location is perfect — everything is within a 15-minute walk. It’s not just a room, it’s an experience. Highly recommend!

It took us a bit to find the unit but once we did we really like the location! Unit was clean and centrally located. Il Mercato centrale was right across the street! It got a bit loud in the mornings when the leather carts were setting in for the day but besides that we absolutely enjoyed our stay!

This was not a real hotel, but a room in a former apartment. It’s also far from the ponte vecchio, their profile pic. Despite the dirty hallway with trash in it and the unpleasant central market location, the place itself was clean and cute.

We were able to drop our bags off prior to check in and this was such a bonus. The young girl in charge even helped us carry our suitcases up the. stairs and was incredibly helpful with any questions or requests. The room was very well equipped, even having a mini bar with free drinks. Breakfast was basic but good. The only down side for us was the noise from the markets and market square. This was not softened by shutters but on the bright side, they did provide ear plugs. Very clean and central for a stay in Florence.

Well appointed rooms with good amenities and excellent breakfast! Friendly, helpful staff. Good location for access to transport options, sights and shopping but be prepared for the noise of the market packing up each night and then setting up in the morning..overall though a great option for a well priced stay in Florence.

Great hosts. Fantastic location but on top of the market so not super quiet. 4 flights of stairs so be prepared. Not convenient for cars. Must park in parking garage a few blocks away for 40euro per night. The central Mercado is awesome. Just outside the door.
