Hotel is pretty inconvenient because it’s not located within the city. The hotel provides a bus shuttle that takes you to Piazzale Montelungo (right behind the Florence Train Station) which is walking distance from the main attractions but this bus shuttle has designated times that it comes. So if you don’t plan to make it to one of those times they designate, forget about it. Pretty inconvenient and also the bus ride is atleast 20 min each way. They have a gym here which is pretty nice with weights, cables, treadmill/bike/elliptical & other accessories. We wanted to use the spa they advertised but it was closed for refurbishment. Note they charge a city tax for each night you stay. Nice and clean, comfortable bed. No free breakfast though :/ they charge 20 euros for their breakfast buffet.

Nice hotel, but a bit far from town

Pros: It's a Hilton but was probably the cheapest hotel I stayed at during my entire trip.
Cons: I wish the hotel was situated closer to the center of town but the free shuttle helped to compensate for that.
Location: There is small shopping area around the corner but not much else.
This was a great hotel. The staff was amazing and worked really hard to help my husband find a great dinner location for us to celebrate our anniversary! The offer a shuttle bus that will take you to and from town and that was very helpful.

This Could Be A Great Place To Stay But My Visit Was Disappointing

Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, Noisy, misrepresented free breakfast
As someone in the Hospitality Industry I appreciate honest Guest reviews and I can only hope this helps other Guests in making their decision on where to stay - and hopefully the management of this hotel on matters that need to be addressed. This hotel has some very nice design features and the sleek modern and contemporary design - something we are more accustomed to when traveling in the States- was appealing after spending 2 weeks in small "old world charm" style properties throughout other cities in Italy. Our experience with this hotel however was disappointing from the onset. While we were content not to be in the Center of the market district we were frustrated by the inability to access the shuttle service described in the listing for the hotel. After spending 30 Euros for a taxi - not a big deal except that it was not expected - we arrived and were met by front desk personnel that can only be described as rude and uncaring. The complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi advertised were not provided. When I made an issue of the need for Wi-Fi I was informed that I would be given the Wi-Fi Code - afterall, it wasn't even working. While waiting in line to use the hotel computer in the lobby I unfortunately witnessed the front desk personnel answering questions over the phone from a Guest and after concluding the conversation began mocking and ridiculing the Guest for asking questions - this was totally uncalled for and unprofessional. The room itself was small and I personally could have done without the see through wall from the bathroom into the bedroom - some places are best left private. The most frustrating feature of the room was the inability to cool it. Efforts to open a window only introduced loud music and street noise. I understand and appreciate that during certain months in Italy A/C is not allowed - but this was September - and I do not think this was the case in this hotel. Apparently the Italians are very fond of firm bedding - perhaps my Memory Cushion Tempurpedic has spoiled me - but I just knew a Hilton property was going to have a comfortable bed - don't count on it. Regardless of hotel price - one thing was consistent throughout our travels in Italy - a bed as comfortable as the top of my desk. Italy is an absolutely beautiful country and Florence a great city. Everyone should experience both - but exercise caution with where you elect to stay.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but it was space-agey modern with a small, expensive room.

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Nothing close
at a practical level, the only complaint we had was that we couldn't get a meal anywhere except the bar at about 4:30 pm. We'd hoped that, because it was a hotel (read "service-oriented"), it might keep the restaurant open...but we were in Italy, so I shouldn't have been thinking like an American...the staff was fine, the room clean, the place quiet. However, it was too modern and cold, with few people around, in a strange area outside of Florence with tall, empty-looking buildings around. Very odd. The room was small for the price.

There for a conference

Pros: Quiet
The hotel was close to the airport and not too far away from the attractions. Taxi drivers were readily available and the trip to and from was easy. Rooms were fine for the trip and had a comfortable feeling. Little small but too bad.

Excellent but far from town

We got off the train and were so happy to see the Hilton bus waiting to take us to the hotel. We were train traveling all across Europe and it was wonderful not to have to take a metro or taxi. Thumbs up to the Hilton for providing this service. Although the hotel was excellent, all area's of service, room quality, it's a little outside the town. So it wasn't easy for us to explore when only there for a day. So we did find a little shopping center, activity fun center and a few shops next to the Hilton. Wonderful ice cream shop. The bartender at the Hilton was also the best. Friendly, helpful and shared a few local wines with us that were out of this world. The restaurant in the Hilton was also excellent. We would go back again, they do have transportation into town if you have the time. Great place. I loved the two Hilton's that we stayed in on our travels. They treated us great!

We wished we could have stayed longer

What a convenient beautiful hotel. Right at the airport, great transportation. Unfortunately for us, our train went on fire in Reims and instead of a 45 min. train back to Paris and the Hilton we came in at 2:30am and had to leave by 11:00am. We didn't get to see or do much, but we wished we had more time. The Paris Hilton was great. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in Europe. Both Hilton's that we stayed at were great. Thanks Hilton. You turned our nightmare night of train riding into a beautiful memory at the Hilton.
