secluded get away

My daughter got married at High Point Farms about 1.5 miles away. This VRBO was perfect for meeting our needs. Lots of wildlife to be seen. The host was incredibly helpful with changes/requests and always answered promptly. It is secluded! So quiet at night!!! You do run out of paved road for a short while as you climb up the drive through the forest. Lovely!

Spring Break 2025

The place looked nice on the website. When we got there, it even looked better. Everything was clean and we loved the decor. This is an excellent place for a quiet getaway. The whole family had a great time. Its far enough to enjoy the quietness of the hills and close enough to lots of hiking and Chattanoogas city center.

Overall Stay

The house itself was very spacious and pleasing. At night it was quite dark, would not hurt to have maybe some motion lights even with my headlights on could not really even tell if I was at the right. The only other issue is the gravel part of the driveway coming up the hill was quite rough and was slipping traction. But other than that it was a great and relaxing stay. Would definitely stay again!!!

This was a great launching platform in the country to visit Chattanooga attractions, but not in the city. Delighted!

Nice home but needs a good clean

It is a lovely home, very quiet neighborhood and the home is pretty well equipped but it needs a deep cleaning. The window sils are dirty and have dead bugs. Under the couches and beds it is also very dirty and dusty. The fireplace was and it’s surroundings were dirty when we arrived. Finally some of the chairs in the dining room are very unstable. My husband had a screw driver in the car and was able to fix some. It’s a great home but needs a little TLC.

Wonder time with family.

Met up with our adult children and our three grandchildren. Had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for all three families and three little grandkids under 3 yrs old and their toys. Loved it!

Mountain Hollow Private Retreat

The property is secluded and beautifully situated on a hill with decks on all sides to let you view the mountains and trees and birds. It was the perfect place for our family to celebrate my sons graduation from Covenant College.

The hill Cabin.

The cabin is very nice and spacious, it is located in a quiet place and very close to Chattanooga, although the truth is that it seemed a little isolated to me, but by driving a few miles we were able to go for a walk and get to know the surroundings. Also, for an additional fee we were able to take our 2 Boston Terriers and they had a lot of fun running and playing around. Katie the Host was very friendly and responded immediately when we were concerned about a gas smell from the tank outside and she sent someone to check. On the last day I sent some comments about some kitchen equipment recommendations and how dirty the kitchen trash can was, but I received no response. I also sent her some photos about the ladybugs falling from the ceiling onto our bed and was informed that the property has a regular pest control, but it is still not something that as a guest you expect to happen. We are from Florida and literally live with alligators in our neighborhood, but we still don't expect to have ladybugs falling on us while we are sleeping. In general, it is a good option.

Beautiful cabin

We spent Christmas here and it was just lovely. They decorated with a beautiful tree and a few other things, and it was a wonderful experience for our rambunctious 3 year old. A really great spot to unwind and spend time with family.

Secluded and quiet

We loved the location on top of a hill, secluded and quiet, it was relaxing and the house was lovingly and tastefully decorated and welcoming. Everything was in good condition and made for a pleasant stay. The main bedroom and bath upstairs were beautiful but we used the first floor rooms to avoid taking the stairs. Rustic and cozy interiors, sufficient dishes and cookware, screened and unscreened seating outside around the house were more amenities. Also appreciated the spaciousness, the beautiful large fireplace and the high ceilings. The outside fire pit needs some attention, it would be nice to be able to sit around it. Maybe one day the part of the gravel driveway will be asphalt to make it easier going up. The Publix 20 min away was great for groceries. We preferred to prepare breakfast at home, no healthy choices nearby. If you want a quiet stay in nature and enjoy listening to birds sitting on the porch that’s the perfect house. City life is only 30 min away should you miss it. The two sweet barn cats kept us company when we were outside and we became friends. A visit of cloudland canyon nearby was my personal highlight.
