Art Hotel Milano

2.0 Art Hotel of Disappointment
The first room we were given had been smoked in to the point we had to request another room. The front desk gentleman was really nice about switching our room though. Our second room, which looked exactly like the first room was surface clean. Meaning there was no clutter on the floor and the bed was made but the longer we stayed in the room we noticed more and more things that had not been cleaned, the floor seemed to get stickier throughout the night. Also, the bed was rock hard, not sure if they were saving money on the mattress but rock hard to the point we didn't sleep. Also, the pillows were super flat, almost like not having a pillow. We also had a rental car and the hotel did not have dedicated parking, just on street. We asked the front desk individual where we should park and he just sort of waved at the street. He also informed us it was public parking and the hotel had no liability for anything that happened to our car...we had no confidence our car would be there in the morning...

Novotel Firenze Nord Aeroporto

5.0 Lovely hotel close to the Florence airport.
Staff was gracious and room was very nice. All the amenities you would expect including a computer and printer for printing out boarding passes. Reasonable price. WiFi throughout. Good restaurant and bar with polite staff, nice pool, and even breakfast offered at 4 a.m. when we were preparing to leave to catch an early flight. We found the front desk staff very helpful. They arranged for our taxi to be there by 4:20 a.m. We enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel.

Pleasing but would rate it as a three star hotel to be excellent. Staff were very helpfully and friendlly thus excellent. Clean hotel too. Situated near airport with minimal traffic and next to it is a shopping mail. It is located in a quiet location thus a perfect place to relax and be near the airport at the sametime. Liked the idea that the pool is all days and long hours opened. Wished the the restaurant was opened on weekends too and that they had a more choices from a hard cover menu. A little bit disappointing. Free wifi but hardly worked in the rooms. A nuisance especially when one need to work online.

Spacious rooms. Great, cold air-conditioning in the room. Decent breakfast buffet. Garage parking, but it's tight!! Bring a small car and driving skills. Good location with short drive to more pedestrian areas with shops and cafes.
