We had a disappointing stay at this property. We tried to make the best of it, but our vacation fell far short of the elite experience we paid for. The day before arrival, the host informed us the main A/C unit was broken (it was not repaired during our visit). Temporary bedroom units and fans helped, but they were loud (and unpleasant), and the main living area remained warm. Previous guests had opened windows so the house was full of bugs when we arrived—mainly flies and some ants. Our group killed over 100 flies during the first two days. The pool and hot tub were dirty at check-in. The pool was cleaned the next day, but the hot tub was not, and it never got more than lukewarm. Additional issues include:1.The house was not clean. There is a picture below where I put my finger on the windowsill to wipe off the dust2.Trash bins completely full upon arrival3.Two auxiliary refrigerators that barely cooled4.Main patio doors broken and taped shutCommunication with the host was mixed—sometimes quick, sometimes unresponsive. We didn’t receive check-in info until the morning of arrival, after two requests. In correspondence with the host after our visit, the host was dismissive of our concerns and indicated the AC issue was “remedied” (the fans and bedroom AC units). But this ignores the fact that we paid for an elite vacation and did not get it. We understand some of the issues were bad luck, but feel this is the owner’s responsibility, not the vacationer.
