Overall it was a great stay. We enjoyed the proximity of the property to everything we wanted to do. The stars to get to the lake need some work, but that is not a reflection of the property or owner.

Satisfactory
Not being from the area, there were some parts of the home that we were not used to. Great location but some parts of the house could cleaned better. As well, the pictures from the listing do not match the house.

Not ready for renting
Multiple issues at check in. Furnace didn't work and spent first night in 58 degree house. Multiple cleanliness issues, stained boxsprings, dirty coffee maker, dirty shower head. Washer and dryer in basement dirty, debris in washer needed swept out with shop vac I found in basement. Owner did correct some of the problems but we had no access to property for a couple of hours. This property shud have been deep cleaned and gone over before renting. Ask yourself..wud you sleep here?
This is an older, cozy home in an area convenient to Presque Isle and Waldameer, and close to many restaurants and shopping. The kitchen is very functional, and the living room comfortable with cozy leather-type recliners and a big smart-TV. There were lots of thoughtful touches throughout the home that let us know the hosts wanted our stay to be enjoyable and serene. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for an easy stroll in the evening, and although we didn't use the yard, it looked ready for barbecuing and relaxing. We had 3 bikes that we didn't want to leave outside at night, and there was enough space to bring them inside, as well as safe parking. We had 3 adults in our party, and while the house can sleep 6, I think it might feel crowded with 6 adults, as the full size bed seems shorter than average and there is one small bathroom. The sleeper sofa is in a sunroom that doesn't seem to have air-conditioning or heat, but does have a TV, and a skylight that means a bright awakening early in the morning. This home might be best for a family with up to 4 kids, rather than 6 adults, though that would be my own preference. As an aside, the 139 stairs leading down to the beach are a bit scary, but my spouse and son enjoyed the challenge and the neighborhood access. We give this vrbo a thumbs up!
