Charming log chalet at 1200 m – CAR-FREE, access by gondola only

Our half of a traditional log chalet sits at 1,200 metres, right in the Stockhütte ski and hiking area above Emmetten.

PLEASE READ FIRST: IT IS CAR-FREE UP HERE.
You cannot drive up to the chalet – the access road is reserved for local residents. You come up by gondola, and your car stays in the underground car park down in Emmetten. In return there is no traffic and no noise up here – just mountains, forest and the view across Lake Lucerne.

Getting here – possible around the clock:
Two lifts bring you up from Emmetten.
- Emmetten–Stockhütte gondola, during its official operating hours (in summer daily 08:30–17:30, in winter during the ski season – you will find the current times at klewenalp.ch). NEW: with the Lucerne Travel Pass you ride free of charge.
- The Waldibahn, a 4-person self-service gondola – available 24 hours a day, so also early in the morning or late at night when the main gondola is not running.
We take care of your luggage on arrival and departure day, that is included.

The hot tub:
On the terrace stands a DutchTub, which we heat with a wood fire. Sitting in warm water after a day on the slopes or in the mountains, while the peaks around you turn dark – that is the moment our guests remember. Use and firewood are included, all year round, and it is yours alone during your stay.

The house – room for up to 8:
Lower floor: studio with a double bed and a large sofa bed, its own shower/WC, and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer – both free of charge.
Ground floor: living and dining room with fireplace and TV, fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine and dishwasher, shower/WC.
Upper floor: two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, separate WC.
Outside: terrace with a large dining table, hot tub, barbecue area and fire pit – all just for you, we use our own side.

Up to 6 guests are included in the price. For the 7th and 8th guest, the sofa bed in the studio is ready.

Bed linen, towels, WiFi and firewood for the fireplace are included. We have a cot, a travel cot and a high chair – just let us know beforehand, free of charge. One dog is welcome.

Winter:
Click into your skis right outside the house, the piste access is immediate. The 5 km toboggan run passes right by the house – great fun for young and old. The Swiss Ski School on the Stockhütte offers courses for all levels.

Summer:
Hikes and mountain bike tours start at the front door. Below lies Lake Lucerne: boat trips and swimming at various spots. With the Lucerne Travel Pass, Pilatus, Rigi and Titlis are easy day trips.

Nearby:
Berggasthaus Stockhütte is a 5-minute walk. The Volg village shop in Emmetten sells regional products and is open 364 days a year. Lucerne is around 35 minutes from Emmetten.

Good to know – costs on site, in Swiss francs:
Underground car park in the village: CHF 5 per day – cash, card or conveniently via the ParkingPay app. Tip: install the app before you travel.
Waldibahn per trip: CHF 15 for the first person, CHF 5 for each additional person. Children under 6 and dogs travel free, maximum 4 people per gondola – larger groups need several trips.

Cleaning EUR 100, dog EUR 30 per stay and, from the 7th guest, EUR 30 per person per night are charged in euros and shown to you when you book.
